"I'm alright, Hoseok," Yoongi assured as they walked back to the academy, making sure to go through one of the windows to avoid being seen by the guards near the doors.

Yoongi didn't see what pulled him down, because he was too busy trying to use part of the water in his frost abilities to actually breathe. Though that didn't end up working in the end. So now all of them were worried, deeming the pond and that spot in general as an unsafe area.

Songhee told them what she saw in the memories, focusing on the fact that Akane was brought back by Malchin and he used Black Magik to do it. Akida most definitely doesn't know about what Malchin did, and Malchin thinks it didn't work since he left before witnessing Akane come out of the water. Though they all made the educated guess that Cashel probably knows something about it, since Songhee mentioned to them what happened after she did the memory stunt with Hayoon and how she looked at Cashel when they were all asking him questions.

When he hesitated to speak.

It was now close to 6:30 am, everyone slowly waking up to get ready for the day ahead. All of them were tired, wanting this mystery, these attacks, to end so they could go back to living their normal lives and not worry about if death would take a hold of them everytime they turned a corner.

All of them were worried about Yoongi especially, since Songhee insisted nothing was medically wrong with her and that she could deal with Malchin's pain because it was nothing compared to Akane's, Yoongi refused to go to Cashel, to make sure he really was okay like he kept assuring everyone.

Hoseok and Jungkook weren't having it.

"Yoongi, please, are you really okay?" Hoseok pulled Yoongi away from the others, wanting to talk to his boyfriend privately and get the truth out of him.

Yoongi's lips trembled for a second before he got a mental grip on them and spoke, "I don't know," he answered truthfully, the first time he's done so since they've asked, "I almost died because some force was pulling me down and I don't even know what it was. I... I'm scared, Seok, because what if this force isn't just trying to kill me."

Hoseok furrowed his eyebrows, his hand interlocking with Yoongi's pale one, "What are you inferring?"

Yoongi looked down at their hands and squeezed Hoseok's before replying, "I felt like hands had a grip on my ankles and were pulling me down, but there was no one there-"

"You think it was a shadow?" Hoseok finished for him, Yoongi nodding as he looked up at him.

"I think who ever Akane is working with, knows what we're doing and doesn't like it."

At hearing this, Hoseok pulled Yoongi back to the others and forced him to tell them what he just told Hoseok, because this concerned all of them. Yoongi, though annoyed that Hoseok was making him repeat himself in the first place, told them what he told Hoseok, new fear building up inside of them.

They really couldn't catch a break.

Before they all departed from each other to get dressed in their uniforms and head to breakfast, NamJoon advised them to stay in the dark more often than the light.

Shadows can't thrive in the darkness.

After her classes were done and she blamed exhaustion on her behavior, Songhee walked into her room, making sure to leave the lights off like NamJoon had advised.

The sun was setting, leaving the sky drenched in hues of pinks, oranges, and hints of purple, as if a mythical hand painted the art themselves. Since the sun's light was emitting through the window, Songhee was able to still see inside of her room.
