The fear that floated around the room was similar to the fear after the first attack, only this time it was way worse.
SeokJin woke up a couple minutes after passing out completely, once he did he demanded to see Chancellor Yang; then is when he told her this had to be another warning of an attack, since he felt the same thing NamJoon must have when it happened to him.
He had no control over his ability, it was like someone else did.
And Jin hated that feeling.
Now, they were all gathered in the auditorium again, Jin still in the infirmary with Cashel, Chancellor Yang calling an emergency meeting to discuss their next move.
This time she was actually going to listen.
Taehyung's leg wouldn't stop bouncing as he stared at his lap, his worry for SeokJin corrupting his focus. He wanted to know if SeokJin was okay, because after what Hoseok explained to him he didn't seem to be. Hoseok had burn marks on his arms and refused to go see Cashel, he wanted to hear what Chancellor Yang had to say.
His lack of concern for his well-being caused Yoongi to take subtle glances in his direction, worry clear on his features, he wanted Hoseok to go see Cashel so the older man could help Hoseok with his wounds. Hoseok wouldn't budge though. They were seated in the same row, just feet apart from each other.
Hoseok ignored Yoongi's worried glances, because right now he couldn't focus on his feelings for the frost elemental.
NamJoon and Jimin were holding hands, NamJoon more scared than ever after he heard what happened to Jin. He knew how it felt to be completely out of control with your ability and he was worried about Jin's wounds from his own fire.
That part he still found peculiar.
How the hell did Jin's own fire burn him? And Hoseok?
Jungkook stared at Taehyung with concern, he was seated right next to the earth elemental and hated to see him so worked up over SeokJin's wellbeing; not because of his feelings for Tae, but because Tae looked like he was on the verge of sobbing.
"Hey," he whispered, Taehyung turned to look at him, "SeokJin is going to be okay, he's a strong guy and won't let this get the best of him. He wouldn't want you worrying so much, take a breath Tae."
Taehyung smiled slightly at Jungkook, finding the words comforting. He leaned into Jungkook's side, inhaling the frost elementals familiar scent, he always found a way to smell like peppermint and Tae found the smell addicting.
Hoseok watched the interaction between the two with a small smile, finding it cute how they were bonding over the fact Jungkook showed actual concern for SeokJin and comforted Taehyung even though he was worried about Jin.
The youngest of the crew was actually maturing.
Hayoon and Songhee were seated a row behind the crew, Songhee worried out of her mind while Hayoon was telling her everything was going to be fine.
"As you all probably heard already, we seemed to have gotten a warning from SeokJin's ability. He is okay, only resting since it seems his fire ability burned him." it was dusk, the sun slowly setting as Chancellor Yang announced their next move, "Me and the marshalles are anticipating another attack, in the mean time we would like all of you to be on guard, prepared to fight at any moment-"
Funny she say that, since right as the words left her lips they heard a low rumble outside the Academy.
They all felt their hearts drop to their stomachs, anxiety now taking over every sense in their body.
The ground began to shake uncontrollably, like an earth quake was happening. NamJoon and some other Earth elementals immediately placed their hands on the ground, calming the earth underneath the school from shaking anymore.
Before everyone could exhale the breath they were holding, they heard a shriek and the next thing they knew they saw a flame of fire falling through the roof and straight towards where most of the frost elementals sat.
Yoongi, trusting his instincts and acting quickly, threw his hands in air and created a shield of ice, which thankfully blocked the fire ball from hurting anybody and made it sizzle before dissipating into a cloud of smoke.
Hoseok looked over at him with worry, well aware that must have taken a lot of energy, "Are you okay?!" he shouted over the yelling people running out of the Academy.
They all knew they had a better chance fighting on the fields than in the school, where rumble could easily fall on top of them.
"Yes, I'm fine," Yoongi replied, following Hoseok as they ran off with the others.
They saw Jungkook throw his hands up in the air, his water whisp cracking down on one of the Earth soldiers and ripping it apart by wielding it in and out of the thing, this protecting Taehyung.
Songhee jumped on one of the frost elementals, avoiding it's sword and wrapping her legs around it's neck while keeping a firm grip on the head. Her eyes turned blue before she chanted some words under her breath and the ice creature turned to water right underneath her.
Yoongi was surprised, "How did you know to do that?!" he inquired, using his ice to slice one of the fire elementals legs, though it disappeared right before he could.
Weird.
"I didn't! It was instinct!" Songhee yelled, looking around the field frantically.
She looked at Yoongi with eyes full of worry before shouting-
"Where's Hayoon?"
