Niko almost dropped his cereal bowl when he read the note stuck on Riki's window. He scrambled to get up, spilling some of the food on the floor but ignoring that first to get paper and a marker to respond.

Niko went to the kitchen to get a rag to clean up. He finished his breakfast and prepared for the day but was really bothered by Riki's 'note'.

"Teka, para ba sa akin yun?" Niko thought while he showered. He lingered a while longer under the shower spray to relax. The water was refreshing since the climate had been quite warm for the last few days.

When Niko stepped out from the shower, Riki's note was still stuck on her window. Niko wondered when she made the note. He heard mass on his laptop while quietly glancing at his window every now and then.

"Hey, are you okay?" Niko texted as soon as mass was over. He went to the kitchen to prepare lunch.

Niko ate his lunch silently with his phone right next to his plate. The moment it pinged an incoming message, his dropped his spoon on his plate.

"Dude, sasali daw sa class mo yung mga anak ni Annie at Pons. Dalawang bata." Sam, Niko's friend, messaged.

"Ah okay. Salamat. Text ko nalang sila ng mga materials na kailangan. Text kita mamaya"

"Si Din nalang ang i-text mo, sya mas may alam ng mga gamit ng mga bata e"

"Okay"

Niko stared at his phone for a while. He scrolled through his social media accounts to check if he missed any message from Riki.
