Riki was about to respond to Niko's message when Kaia approached. "Mmmaaameeee...mmmaaaammmeeee...." Kaia squealed as soon as soon as she saw Riki. Carrying a big backpack, Kaia walked unsteadily toward her mom.

"Why do you have a bag? Where are you going?" Riki giggled as she took the bag from Kaia. Riki noticed that the bag was rather heavy.
"Aya...sssapping?" Kaia said.
"Shopping? Not today, love."
"Awwchayd?" Kaia points to the window.
"Hmm..if it doesn't rain later in the afternoon, I guess we can spend a few minutes outside."
"Max?" Kaia puts her hand over her nose and mouth.
"Yes, we have to wear our mask when we go outside."
"...en hatshiii..." Kaia put her hands on her head.
"Yes, your hat with the face shield..."
Whenever Riki takes Kaia out for doctor's appointments or even just a few minutes outdoors, she lets her little girl wear a face mask and a hat with a face shield. Riki knows that it isn't really recommended for a young child like Kaia but she also wants her little girl to understand the importance of being safety conscious especially when outdoors.
Kaia walked toward her highchair and Riki picked her up to sit and strap her in. After attaching the food tray to the high chair, Riki gave Kaia her sippy cup and one of her favorite toys. She turned her attention back to her phone. Riki re-read the message then checked her email inbox.
