"Wake up sleepy head!" Niko smiled at his screen. He, too, had just woken up. It became their 'routine' to wake each other up in the morning.
"Hmm..." Riki said. After clicking on the phone answer button, she buried her face into her pillow.
"Good morning! Wake up my sleepy, Punch! It's a beautiful day!" Niko said cheerily. He assumed it was bright and sunny outside. He was also still in bed and his solid window shade only gave light on the sides. His windows were also tinted so he couldn't really tell what the weather outside was.
"....mamayana...ishsaturday..." Riki mumbled.
"Kaya nga, it's volunteer day."
"...volunteer day..." Riki repeated.
"Yes. Volunteer day. 5 days since our picnic dinner and your dance. It's the day I've been looking forward to since then. Get up na! I'll make our breakfast and baon. What do you want to eat?"
"...no eggs..."
"No eggs. No mayo."
"...wait...what?" Riki suddenly raised her head off her pillow and looked at her screen.
"Ang ganda!" Niko teased. Riki's hair was partly covering her puffy eyes and sleepy look.
"What? Wait..." Riki said as she sat up in bed and run her fingers through her hair. "...your hair is also standing up..." Riki said. "...and wait..." Riki rubbed her eyes.
"Oh..." Niko replied, finger-combing his hair and adjusting his blanket and pillow over himself.
"What did you say about making breakfast?"
"And lunch..."
"Huh?"
"Tulog ka pa nga..." Niko teased.
"Wait..wait..what are you saying?"
"It's Saturday today. We're going to the relief facility to volunteer."
"Ah, today ba yun?"
"Yes!"
"It's been a week since we had our picnic dinner and you danced for me..."
"...Iggy..." Riki said slowly.
"Punch" Niko grinned widely. "You gave me the name Iggy because I said I looked like Pascal from Tangled and you're Punch because you're my Rapunzel..." Niko explained. "And we're going to the facility together. I'll ask to be assigned at the kitchen again so that we can work together"
