Niko and Riki tried their best not to expose Kaia to too much gadget use. Thankfully, even if her parents were heavy gadget users, and most equipment and appliances in their home were technologically operated, both adults were still conscious and aware not to buy or use them especially when Kaia was around.
At a young age, Kaia knew that the computer was used for her Dada and Mamee's work. Music could be requested on "Boogool" and she watched her 'Ate's' and 'Kuya's' on the big 'teebee' in the studio. When her parents observed that Kaia could keep her attention to something for extended periods, they started a Saturday family habit of watching full-length cartoon movies.
Kaia was introduced to more popular characters and soon, she declared herself a princess. Riki took this as a learning activity. Kaia was now 'obsessed' in wearing a dress every day. Thankfully, she wasn't very particular about the design. Kaia liked the idea of having the hem flow and fly out whenever she twirled.
"Mameee...Kaia wan dess...pinssses dess..." Kaia said when Riki bathed her.
"Okay...but princesses don't wear diapers" Riki replied. They had been trying to toilet train Kaia. The first few days of trying and reminding the little girl to use the potty had been unsuccessful.
Kaia thought for a while. She would often too 'busy' to remember going to the toilet so she would have accidents. But her desire to wear princesses dresses (even ordinary cotton house dresses) was overpowering so she agreed. "Aya weww nanti...pinses dess en nanti..."
"Okay! But remember to go to pee in the potty, okay?"
"Aya pee in potty..."
"Yes. Because big girls pee in the potty" Riki reminded her.

"Dada! You yayk pinses Aya dess?" Kaia said as she ran to Niko after her bath. She was in a cotton night gown with ruffled sleeves and hem.
"Oh wow! So pretty! And you also smell good." Niko said as he picked Kaia up and carried her to the bed.
"Watch?" Kaia asked. She knew that they were going to watch something on her parents' big 'teebee' in their bedroom.
"Yes. It's Saturday today. Movie day"
"Pinses!" Kaia squealed. They had watched several cartoons and Kaia was engrossed and paid full attention to movies with princesses more than the other stories. In fact, lately, it had also become 'normal' for her to carry around her big book about princesses. If she saw Riki or Niko not looking at their computer, she would immediately say, "Read?" and try to squeeze herself next to them or on their lap.

Even if quarantine rules have changed (again), Riki and Kaia still stayed at home more and it was only Niko who regularly left the house for shopping and errands.
