"Maaaameee, wasdat?" Kaia looked at the page of the book she and Riki were sharing.
"Which one?" Riki asked. There were several pictures on the page of the word book.
"Diswan" Kaia lay her hand on the page.
"Animals. Different kinds of animals."
"...nnimals..."
"Yes, animals. Here, this is a..."
"Doggy!"
"Yes! How about this one?"
"Cat! Maaaaw!" Kaia 'meowed' then clapped her hands.
"That's right. And this one?"
"Faaag!"
"Frog. How about this one?"
"Uhmm. Is moo-moo cow!"
"And this?"
"Kiken! Nanok!"
"It's a rooster. A boy chicken..."
"Ooster? Kiken!"
Riki was amused at how Kaia insisted that the feathered fowl was a chicken. Upon further inspection, not far from the rooster was a white hen. Kaia was still correct.
"How about this one?"
Kaia looked up at Riki.
"It's a goat."
"Goat"
"Yes, the goat says, 'meeeeh'" Riki bleated like a goat.
"Meeeeeh" Kaia imitated.
"That's correct. A goat says 'meeeeh'"
Several pages later, Kaia continued to identify most animals pictured.
"Lion! Rawr!" Kaia said with fingers curled like paws. "...lelepan!" Kaia said when she saw the enormous animal covering half the book's page. Riki pretended to sway the elephant's trunk with her arms which Kaia gamely imitated.
"Very good! Later, you can show Dada..."
"Sssow Dada!" Kaia agreed.
Riki nodded. They continued for a few more minutes with Riki giving Kaia the sound the animal made or the actions they did. They also sang some songs.
