Niko looked at the last message he received from Riki. Video calling at night became their routine and Niko tried to recall if he or Riki was the first one to say goodnight. Because of the heat, Niko noticed that he was getting more exhausted and sleeping 'earlier' than his usual sleeping time. He almost fell asleep talking to Riki once. On the other hand, Riki had actually fallen asleep during one of their video calls. Niko was playing his guitar and singing. Riki was lulled to sleep by the soft melody that Niko played. Not wanting to wake her, Niko just watched Riki sleep until he too, fell asleep.
This time, the message was of a shopping list. After being constantly updated on each other's activities, Riki knew which day Niko went shopping and ran errands. But, even if they wanted to go shopping together, they couldn't because of the lockdown and because of their work schedule.
Niko walked from his bedroom to the kitchen and glanced over at Riki's window. To his surprise, it was closed! She had not closed again it since the first time they 'met' so Niko worried.
"Are you okay?" Niko immediately messaged Riki.
Niko was slowly going into panic mode as he tried to act as normal as possible. He did his morning routine – breakfast, check on his plants and fish, use the bathroom, run his day's schedule in his head – while glancing repeatedly at Riki's window every time he passed his.

"SI Cheechurrr Neeeks na-l-look na naman sa awwwchayd..." Menggay said when she noticed that Niko kept on glancing at his side.
"Is Rapunzel in trouble?" Rj asked. Niko turned to his screen and saw the kids staring at their cameras.
"I hope not" Niko thought to himself. Niko tried to focus on the class but his mind was elsewhere. Niko moved the camera so that it focused on the window. It was a clear, sunny day so all the kids could really see were the art works on Niko's bookshelf under the window.
"Hahaba yun hair ni Yaponshel e. Na-b-brush sya nan hair nya tagal-tagal..." Menggay said.
"Ah...why?" Niko asked as he re-adjusted the camera.
