"Don't......please!" I begged bawling my eyes out. "I am sorry Lilly...." he replied quietly with no hint of remorse in his eyes. "But I l-l-love you!" I stuttered holding onto his arm as he tried moving away from me. "Lilly, just let go. You'll find someone better!" He exclaimed, shaking my hands from his more stronger ones. "But I don't want to. I love you....you...." I whispered, more of a reassurance to myself. I bet I looked like a hundred dollars right now with mascara running down my face and my elegant dress wet from all the tears. He unfastened his bow tie and sighed, getting tired. "Lilly, don't make this any harder for the both of us. I know I was your first boyfriend and all but please...just let me go." he huffed as he started backing away, towards the door. "I have to go now." he said awkwardly as he opened the door and left.

The reality of all of it hit me so hard right there and I slid to the ground with a thud. "He left me. He left me. He left me." The words kept repeating themselves inside of my head like a broken record, adding to my dull headache. My hair was tousled from running my hands countless times through it and I was sure that my eyes were already puffy and red from all the sobbing. "Why Thomas? Why......" I mumbled as I curled into fetal position and sobbed my eyes out.

I jolted up from my deep slumber, sweating and panting for air while my eyes searched my room for any signs of him. "It's just a nightmare." I tried reassuring myself. I thought I was already past that point but no he just had to haunt me every waking moment for the rest of my life. I sighed and plopped back onto the bed as I closed my eyes and started drifting back to sleep, but no my alarm clock just had to ring right now. "You must be kidding me!" I huffed as I pulled myself out of the inviting bed to prepare for school.

After doing my morning routine and preparing my bag for the fight I had after school, I hurried down the stairs but was stopped by my mother's voice. "Where are you going?" she asked as she popped her head out the living room to take a look at me. "Oh, me. I was just going to school. You know that place where kids go to to learn new stuff." I mouthed back. I was sick and tired of my mom and both of us knew that. "Behave Lilly! I am your mother." she shouted, grabbing her head to probably calm down the massive headache she had from last night's drinking. "Believe me mother, you lost that title a long time ago.' I snarled walking past her and made my way to the door. "At least I don't go partying everyday and get back home after my curfew. Lilly!" she retorted. I stopped dead in my tracks.

Did she just say that? I think she did.....

I rolled my fists in anger and turned, facing her. I think that she was surprised or shocked about the look of anger that crossed my face as her scorn faltered and I could see the guilt in her eyes. "Do I mother?" I laughed humorlessly. "I am the one who gets drunk pretty much every night, I am the one who wakes up the next day with a hangover that makes me not being able to function till I have the next glass, I am the one who gave up on life because my husband died. RIGHT?" I screamed back at her, ready to turn and go out of this place but the loud sound that echoed throughout the house stopped me...I felt a tingling sensation on my cheek and then slight pain.

I looked at her in disbelief and she was already holding her hands to her mouth, too shocked to even comprehend what she just did. With one last galnce at the woman who was supposed to care for me and protect me, I turned and walked out of the house before I did something that I knew I would regret.

I was ready to punch someone in the face and I think the by the feral look in my eyes everybody knew that too. But I came to a halt in front of my locker to see a crowd of students scattered around it. I pushed past them and wasn't really surprised when I saw the nasty comments written across it. But what really got me was the gooey substance that was oozing from the sides of the locker. I opened the locker only for this green liquid to fall all over the white tiles of the corridor. Nicole reappeared from the side of the crowd and smirked proudly. Don't get angry that's what she wants a reaction from you....I kept repeating in my head, but at the sight of my damaged books I was surely going to lose it. I glared back at her and readied myself to lunge at her.
