Although there are 9 fixed types of magic; a person's magic can differ based on personality and magic capacity.
For example, two people can have enhancement magic but while one can enhancement his physical abilities, the other can enhance his mental capacity or even enhance someone else.
Then day had already dimmed before the trio decided to go back home.
The trip meant something special to each of them but for Micah most of all.
Apart from giving Racheal a break, he chose that day because his parents and siblings were to have their meeting and for formalities sake, they would have invited him.
He would have had to attend and witness the discomfort they could barely mask when he sat beside them.
He did not blame them, they could not help it but he could not stand the way they tried to avoid his eyes.
He did not regret the trip in the least, he got to spend time doing what he loved the most with people that were not bothered by his presence.
He looked down at Enid who was staring intensely at one of his books even though she could not read a single letter.
"Enid?"
She looked up annoyed that she was being disturbed.
"Would you like me to teach you how to read?"
Her face immediately lit up.
"Yes, yes, yes!" She yelled jumping at him.
Racheal shook her head at Micah, with a face that screamed 'that's a bad idea'
"You're going to regret that, she might be smart but she's horrible at taking instructions."
Enid turned to glare at her.
"That's not true. You'll take instructions, won't you?" Micah asked
Enid nodded fiercely.
"Then our lessons will begin anytime you're ready."
...
The carriage slowly rode into the palace and immediately, Micah could tell that something was odd.
The signature green carriages of the Manderin branch family were in front of the palace and the guards stood as if they were awaiting his arrival.
He stepped out of the carriage after Racheal and Enid, and Alice who Micah had not noticed until then stepped before him.
"My prince, his royal majesty wishes to speak with you. The branch family is also here."
Micah stopped himself from sighing out loud.
In the end he still had to meet his family.
"Thank you Alice, you may leave."
Enid looked up to Micah.
"Your mum and dad want to see you?"
"Yes Enid." His voice was tense and he could barely manage a smile for the child.
"Do you want me to come with you?"
Micah ruffled her hair.
"I'll be fine Kid. Racheal, I'll be back soon."
Racheal nodded and led Enid into the palace.
...
The dining room was tense and quiet apart from the scraping of plates and even that ceased as soon as Micah opened the doors and stepped into the room.
