The next day I was sitting in Stein's classroom and Stein was humming, happily. Spirit walked into the room and raised a brow, mouthing,

"What's up with him?" Giggling, Stein looked down at me and I showed my hand to Spirit, making him gasp.

"YOU GUYS ARE ENGAGED?" Spirit yelled, making Stein flinch and glare at him, fussing,

"Quit yelling!"

"B-But-"

"But nothing. We should be able to tell everyone ourselves."

". . .Fair enough. Can I tell Lord Death though?"

"No!"

"No!"

Stein and I both responded, making Spirit pout and I sighed, explaining,

"Spirit, it's our news. We should be the ones to tell everyone."

"Tell everyone what, Miss (L/N)?" Soul's voice asked, as footsteps followed and I looked over to the door. The whole group was standing there, looking at us curiously. Huffing, I rested my head on Stein's desk and Stein sighed, saying,

"We'll talk about it later. Spirit stay here and take roll. (Y/N) and I will be back." Sitting up, I looked at him and he motioned for me to get up, as he said,

"C'mon. Let's go."

Standing up, I walked with him and he intertwined our fingers, without a word. After we got to the hall of the Death Room, the first bell rang and I looked at Stein, seeing how his eyes were focused.

"Stein." I called, making him stop just outside the door and looked down at him, humming,

"Hm?"

"What are we doing?"

"Telling Lord Death. That way Spirit can gush about it to him all day." Stein replied, smiling down at me and starting into the room, pulling me along with him gently. We walked in comfortable silence and I couldn't help but smile at Stein's casual attitude.

"Hiya, guys!" Lord Death greeted us, waving and bouncing slightly. Stein let go of my hand and waved back, replying,

"Hey, Lord Death! We just want to give you some news."

"Oh? And what's that?"

Stein looked at me and nodded, urging me to tell Lord Death. Smiling, I stepped forward and showed him my hand, announcing happily,

"We're engaged!"

Lord Death's eyes widened and he bounced again, shouting,

"About time!" Stein chuckled and I felt my face flush, as I giggled.

Stein's Point of View

Watching (Y/N), I smiled to myself and she was talking with Lord Death, as the tardy bell rang. Looking at my watch, I sighed and said,

"(Y/N), I've to get back to class."

"Oh! Well, let's go." She replied, turning to me and I smiled, saying,

"You can stay here if you like."

"I feel like we should tell everyone. So, I'll come." She countered, making me smile and nod, knowingly.

"How about you both go tell your class and take a few days off? Just send them to Sid's class. I'll inform him that your students are coming." Lord Death suggested, shocking both of us and making me smirk.

"We can't-" (Y/N) started and I put a hand over her mouth, replying,

"Thank you, Lord Death. We'll tell the student and then send them to Sid's. You're the best!" (Y/N) looked at me with wide eyes and I smiled down at her, making her relax. Lord Death laughed at us and shooed us out of the Death Room. Taking her hand, I pulled her to my class room and she asked,

"What the hell, Stein? We can't just disappear for a few days."

"He offered and I think it'll be good for us, (Y/N)!" I replied, excitement taking over and when we got to my classroom, I stopped. Turning to her, I pressed a kiss to her forehead and said,

"It'll be like a pre-honey moon. We can spend time together. Plan for the wedding and the baby. It'll be good." (Y/N)'s hesitation dissipated and she sighed, nodding. Walking into the classroom, Spirit was sitting at my desk and he looked over, expectantly.

Walking in front of my desk, I held (Y/N) at my side and smiled, softly. Looking at the students, I cleared my throat and started,

"Good morning, everyone. Miss (L/N) and I are going to be gone for the next few days. So, you guys will be in Sid's class." Pausing, I looked back at Spirit and he looked at me, expectantly. Nodding at him, he smiled and left the room, as I concluded,

"Before we go, however, we have an announcement." Looking down at (Y/N), she stepped forward and informed everyone,

"Professor Stein and I are getting married." Maka stood up and ran down the stairs, pulling (Y/N) into a hug. (Y/N) hugged Maka back and when (Y/N) pulled away, she spoke to Maka softly. Maka nodded at (Y/N) and then headed back upstairs to gather her things.

"Alright. Head over to Sid's class." Everyone began to gather their things and I warned,

"Behave too. I'll know if you don't and you won't like the detention I'll have for you when we get back." All the students sweat dropped and nodded, hurrying out of the room. When the door closed, (Y/N) chuckled and shook her head, fussing,

"You don't have to terrify them, you know."

"Sure I do. I have a reputation to protect." I replied, wrapping an arm around her waist and pressing a soft kiss to her forehead.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. The scary Professor. Ohh. I'm shaking." She teased, laughing and I smiled replaying,

"I prefer Mad Scientist. C'mon let's head home to pack."

"Wait, where are we going?"

Smirking, I held her hand and walked with her, replying,

"Can't you just wait for the surprise?"

"I don't like surprises."

"Well, you'll just have to wait."
