Reader's POV

Signing, I knocked on Stein's door and he opened it, becoming surprised.

"(Y-Y/N), I didn't expect to see you." He said, grabbing a lab coat to cover his bare torso.

"Obviously..." I replied, chuckling and then I paused for a second,

"May I come in?"

"Oh! Of course!" Stein replied, moving out of his door way and allowing me into his home. Sitting down, I looked at the ground and Stein sat next to me, asking,

"What's wrong?" Tears rolled down my cheeks and he cupped my face, wiping them away, continuing,

"Did I do something? Are you okay? You're not hurt, are you?" Chuckling, I shook my head and asked, softly,

"Why didn't I notice you before?" His eyes widened and he tilted his head, slightly.

"W-What?" Stein asked, shocked and confused. Sighing, I shook my head and explained,

"Troy was...cheating on me. I caught him...I didn't know where else to go...I'm sorry." Putting my head in my hands, I sighed and frowned. Touching my cheek, he made me look up and he answered,

"You don't have to apologize for anything. I would jump off the academy. If you asked me to."

"Wh-Why?" I asked, looking into his emerald green hues.

"Because you asked me to." Stein answered, pressing his lips to mine and pulling me to my feet. Pulling away, he looked down at me and continued,

"Because I love you."

"Oh, Stein." I replied, hugging him and crying, softly, into his chest. He wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed my forehead, saying,

"I love you, (Y/N)." I looked up at him and replied, softly,

"I think I love you, too." He lifted him chin and his lips ghosted over mine, as he said,

"I know that you deserve better than him." He paused, pulled away from me and looked at the ground, saying,

"But I'm not better than him." I grabbed his face and looked into his green eyes, saying,

"You're here with me, while he's at the apartment with his whore. That's better in my book." Stein looked at me and held my waist, saying,

"Really?" I smiled and nodded, replying,

"Really." He smiled and leaned down, pressing his lips to mine. I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed back, feeling him lick my bottom lip. I denied him and he whined, making me laugh. He laughed too and I looked up at him, saying,

"I should've noticed you before." He shook his head and replied,

"You did notice me before, but I pushed you away." He paused and sighed, continuing,

"I pushed you into his arms, instead of welcoming you into mine." I caressed his cheek and shook my head, saying softly,

"But you're here now. You were always here and I never noticed." He kissed my palm and said,

"I've gotten use to being here for people." I gave him a sad smile and he rested his forehead against mine, saying,

"But now, I just wanna be here for you."
