"Thank you." You muttered, as you walked with Louis back into Cherryton Academy.

"I needed to go regardless of your silly, feminine feelings of anxiety. Two birds with one stone, however cruel that saying is, is effective."

"Anxiety is not a feminine or silly feeling." You punched his side lightly. Just enough to show your discontent.

Louis sighed. It was upsetting for him to be back as well, especially with what he needed to accomplish today. He wouldn't admit it, but he rather enjoyed having you by his side for it.

"Ah, there's the very wolf you were trying to avoid. What serendipity." Louis' voice was flat and his affect was stale. It didn't take a genius to guess how he felt. "Legoshi. Hey. Long time no see."

You thought you would stop to chat, but Louis kept walking. And so did you.

"Louis!?" Legoshi stumbled after him. "Why?! WHEN!?"

"We came back here this morning. The housemother and the teachers already know about it."

"Wh-Where, where, where have you been these past two months?!"

"Someplace far away. You're heading to the club, right? Join us." Louis' looked innocent, but you could see that sadistic tint in his eye. He was going to love what he planned next.

Legoshi on the other hand, had so many questions for Louis, he hardly even reacted to the plural pronouns being used.

"Louis!? YN!? Is that really you two??! So the rumors were true! Where have you been!?" Els and Ellen zoomed up immediately.

"We're sorry for worrying you. Have you all been well?" You asked with a smile.

"Worry doesn't even describe it! We couldn't focus in our practice at all!" Sheila exclaimed.

"Oh, it really is you, I'm so glad! I'll ask questions later, but for now i'm just glad to have you back." Sanu smiled with a tear of happiness in his eyes.

"That's quite all right, Sanu. I want you, however, to accept this." Shuffling the paper from his pocket, he handed the letter he and you had spent all night drafting. It was his notice of leave. Permanent leave. "I came here to give this to you, and to drop off the beloved omnivore. I'm grateful for the time we've had together."

"Y-You're quitting?! WHY!? The club can't go on without you--"

"Oh, the stage..." Louis gazed up at it wistfully, "It takes me back. I stood on that stage... basked in that artificial light... While I stood on that stage, I would enchant the audience with my acting while they awaited my downfall... I can still see them in my mind." his face suddenly went sharp. "My. How the tables have turned, Legoshi. Do your best to struggle in the shallow light here. I am going to fight my battles differently."

With a discreet press of his hand to yours, he turned and walked away.

"Louis!" Bill called out, "Get back here!"

But Louis was no longer under the thumb of mere students. His world was filled with lies. Herbivores like him, forced to adopt shallow lifestyles and fated to be eaten alive!

I will not lose to anyone. I will believe only in myself and obtain true strength once and for all. And I will take what I want and what others want. I must believe in myself... and the wickedness of carnivores. Coexistence and co-prosperity is made through mutual conflict after all... Let's see if I can start some with that idiotic wolf bastard.
