20: Back To The Present

But that was this weekend. Now, you were exiting your biology hour with Zora and Fudge.

"Hey, Fudge, do you know why Sanu called this meeting?" You asked, waving good-bye to your roommate.

"I don't know but it's probably about Louis. I doubt it would be about you."

"Very little is about me." You shook your head. "That's how I like it."

"Fair enough." Fudge continued to make small talk the entire way to the club. Once you arrived, you took a seat with the other stage crew, but purposefully far away from Legoshi. If you were being honest, you didn't want to be near him.

"So, everyone... In regards to our acting team... I've assigned a new leader. The majority of you should have already met him, but I'm going to reintroduce him anyway." Sanu waved towards Ellen and Els, but the person who got up surprised you.

"The new lead of the acting team."

"My name is Pina. A Dall sheep and just finished up my first year." He scanned the room. "So, one of you gave me a recommendation and now, despite not being a part of nearly anything last year, I'm in charge. I don't know much about how it works, so I might cause some trouble." He winked at the girls of the dance section. "But I'm okay as long as we all have fun together! No in-fights or squabbles. I want us all to get along. I'm pleased to take over Louis' coveted spot."

"Sanu." Bill called out immediately as people clapped. "Why now? Louis hasn't even quit the school yet... Plus, wouldn't someone with more experience be a better fit? Me, Riz, Aoba..."

"Funny, how you listed off large carnivores." Pina chuckled. "This is a matter of appearances. Everyone likes the drama club, but it's still tough if we don't have Louis, right? The club would honestly fall apart with a distinguished handsome male actor. And if I'm going to be the lead, I ought to be straight forward... Day after day, carnivores' eyes are losing their shine from being consumed by their desires and instincts... They're just not beautiful and it's a scientific fact."

Roars filled the room as Pina held Legoshi's arm tightly, having zipped over. "In the spring, my dear friend Tem was eaten alive... Now, your star actor has disappeared. And you're left with a bwave wittle wolf with battle scars." Pina was acting strange. "Where did a quiet guy like Legoshi get scars like these, hmm? You're definitely dangerous. I sure wouldn't want to make you angry."

"Come on! I'm just an ordinary animal! Part of the stage crew!"  Legoshi looked frustrated.

Pina sticking a chisel in the rift... You shook your head. What a drama starter.

Bill yanked Legoshi away from Pina. "Legoshi has always been a carnivore in the drama club! He's not your friend. He's one of us." Bill kept talking as Pina pranced away laughing. "Let at Legoshi! He never looks this mad! When he snaps, it will be too late for you!"

"Pina." Your voice called him. You might have been annoyed with him, but he was still one of your friends. "I'm an omnivore, am I as ugly as you say?"

Pina patted your mane.

"Only your personality is ugly, omni-baby. But that's nothing new! It would be whether you were on one side or the other." He plopped down and put his horns in your lap. "I'm getting sleepy from all this drama. Pet me, YN."
