Louis grabbed his gun and cocked it back.

"Tell me one thing... is it a male?" His voice was deadly, and despite your own hunger, you thought it best to set the salad down for now.

There was a pause, where you assume some dumb lion decided to inquire the gender of their visitor.

"I'm a female!!! If you touch me, I'll bite you! Just let me see him!"

"It's Juno." You and Louis spoke at the same time. But Louis had an order next. "YN, stay here and eat that entire salad. I'll be back late. Sleep without me."

And with that, he had left with Juno.

The pair walked to downtown and took a seat on the bench. He took out a cigarette and lit it up.

"I don't like cigarettes." Juno commented, hoping he'd stub it out.

"No one does." He responded blandly.

Then why not put it out?! Juno huffed, but refocused herself on the goal. The pair got up again and began walking around town, no place in mind. I need to ask him why he dropped out... why he didn't want to be Beastar anymore. I might appreciate it, but it feels like I cheated... and I feel terrible...

"Hey. When Legoshi returned before the festival... was he in one piece?" Louis inquired.

"Uh, well if you mean was he okay... He was covered in bruises and scratches."

"Was he with the little maned wolf?"

"She... was unharmed."

"I see... I expected nothing less." He refused to even make eye contact. "So how did you find me?"

"I knew where you'd be ever since our talk before the day of the festival. When Legoshi went missing."

"He might die tonight. Not just Legoshi... probably even more animals." Louis reminisced.

"Louis, what do you mean?" Juno spoke to the black eyed deer.

"...How can I stand on the stage if I can't even protect the female I love? I'm just powerless. A male with no authority, no power over anything, not even himself... The hero of the school? Pfah. WHat a joke. I'm practically a false god. I'm fed up with these lies..." And he left Juno in the rain.

"After Legoshi came back, I went looking for you." Juno admitted. "I didn't know anything about the Shishigumi and I definitely didn't want to go to the black market... but I did. I asked all kinds of animals for your whereabouts!"

"Thank you." Louis smiled. It was nice someone had cared.

"I don't want your thanks! Why are you sacrificing yourself? You might not be able to come back to school again."

"There's no point in coming back. No matter how civilized our society is, feral instincts and power trump over all... money comes later. My burden as a deer was to become a superficial symbol of morals and justice." His eyes darkened and he stopped to face Juno. "But now that's over. I don't have any reason to play that dishonest and weak role anymore... Therefore, Louis the red deer has no reason to come back to that school."
