Derek's Pov

I woke up and did all my hygiene. I came to conclusion....I want to marry her, shes the love of my life. Shes the definition of perfect. I went to Kobe's room

Me:ima go out

Y/n:okay bye derek, love you

Me:love you more

I went up to her and gave her a kiss. Kobe was just staring at me

Me:what

Kobe:wheres my kiss

Me:I dont know

Kobe:give me kiss

Y/n:derek dont be rude

I gave kobe a kiss on the cheek, we all laughed. I walked out and got in the car. Once I arrived at the place i took out my phone and texted kobe.

I got out the car, got a ring and paid. I didnt care how much it was gonna cost, shes my everything. I'll spend as much money as I need to. I cant wait to start my life and family with her. I went back to the car and was about to start driving but a car blocked me. It was a black van. I beeped at it but they didnt move. I put my window down and yelled at them to move but the guy only got out the car with a gun.

At this point I was getting scared. The guy ran up to me and shot me twice. He shot me in the rib and on my collarbone. The pain I was filling was unexplainable. From the van I could see marie and Aaron laughing and then drive off. I knew I was gonna die so immediately pulled out my phone and text y/n

Y/n's POV

Y/n:kobe, does it take that long to get food, it's been two hours

Kobe:no, he probably went to the mall or something

I just nodded. My phone then started ringing

Phone Call

Person:is this y/n y/l/n

Y/n:yes

Person:I'm sorry to inform you but your boyfriend has been shot and pronounced dead at the scene

Y/n: .......can you....tell me where he was when he......d-died

Person:he was at rings paradise (I really dont know, but pretend that's a shop for rings)

Y/n:okay....thank you

I broke down crying.

Kobe:what happened

Y/n:hes gone.....hes completely gone

Kobe:who

Y/n:derek. Hes.....d-dead

Kobe started crying with me and hugged me. We went to the car and went to the hospital he was. Once we arrived we went to the room he was in. I broke down crying again.

Y/n:derek....what happened.....you said.....you'll be there for me......forever

I continued crying. A doctor walked in the room and gave me his belongings. I put in the password to his phone cause I knew it. When it opened it was at messages. It was him saying he loved me and our kid....he didnt get to send it. I continued crying. There was a box. I opened it and there layed the ring

Y/n:he was gonna propose

Kobe:yeah, he even texted me it

Kobe then showed me the text, I started sobbing

1 week later

It was his funeral. I've been on my bed all week besides when I went to get a ring for derek. I of course ate cause I didnt want to starve the baby but I wasnt hungry. I got dressed and left with kobe. Once we got there we took our seats. After awhile I got the courage to go up and see him. Once I arrived next to his casket I saw him. He was pale, his skin was cold, he didnt look like derek. I placed the ring in his palm and gave him a kiss on the forehead. I started crying again. Once that was done we made our way to the place he was gonna be buried at. Once we arrived we made our way to his resting spot. I still couldnt process the fact that hes gone.

I then woke up to the sound of Leila calling my name. The anniversary of his death is when I would get that dream.

Leila:mommy

I looked at her in the eyes, I saw how she looked like derek so much

Y/n:yes sweety

Leila:wheres daddy

Y/n:hes dead

Leila:oh, okay, does that mean hes in heaven

Y/n:yes and hes looking after us....I know it

Leila:I love you mommy

Y/n:I love you too
