15 ~ Ferrets

Alessa's POV

"Alessa!" Draco waved at me.

I approached the tree he was sitting on, knowing that he is up to no good.

"What are you doing on the tree Draco?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Watch." He smirked as Harry passed by. "Why so tense, Potter?" He called out, jumping down from the tree.

"What do you want Malfoy?" Harry frowned.

"Father and I have a bet you see. I bet you wouldn't last ten minutes into the tournament. He disagrees, he doesn't think you'd last five." The group of Slytherins behind him erupted in laughter. I forced a nervous laugh and looked at Harry in almost-pity.

Harry lost his patience and shoved Draco. He stumbled back slightly and smirked.

"Oh shit." I mumbled to myself.

Both boys took out their wands and pointed it at each other. I saw that Harry's hands were shaking.

"Don't-"

Harry shot a spell at Draco, and at the same time, I stepped towards Draco. Because of his shaking hands, the spell went sideways and hit me instead. I screamed in horror. Wrong move.

"Potter what the hell?!" I covered my face. There was blood streaming down my nose. It was broken. It hurt so much my vision blurred. I stood up, leaning on whoever was closest, which was Theo.

"Oh you'll regret that, Potter!" Draco shouted venomously. He pointed his wand at Potter.

"I didn't mean to-" He stammered. He backed away, putting his wand down.

"Oh no you don't!" Professor Moody shouted out of nowhere. He pointed his wand at Draco, but I pulled aside.

The spell once again hit me and I started to feel extremely dizzy. I opened my eyes to see that I was on the ground. I tried to stand up but I was still on the same level. Draco was looking at me worriedly. I tried to call his name but what came out was a loud chatter.

I yelped and fell back down. I looked at my hands, it was a black furry mess. I nearly fainted at the sight. Draco picked me up and I faced the professor, who was arguing with McGonagall. I burned in anger, knowing he transfigured me to something.

McGonagall pointed her wand at me and I turned back into a human. I nearly collapsed but Draco caught me.

"You're dead to me." I hissed to Moody. He looked slightly frightened.

I leaned onto Draco for support and we walked towards the hospital wing. Black dots spotted my vision and I almost blacked out for the second time.

"Come on, almost there." Draco helped me up.

"Stupid Potter. Stupid professor." I mumbled. "I'll get back at them."

"You're not doing it alone." Draco chuckled.

We finally opened the doors to the hospital wing. Madam Pomfrey looked at me in disappointment.

"Really, Avery?" She shook her head. "It has only been five days. What happened now?" She held me and laid me down on one of the beds.

"It was Potter's fault. He-" Draco started ranting.

"Stop." She held a finger up. "I don't want to know." She examined my nose and frowned. "This will hurt. Look at the bunny." She held two fingers up.

"What?" I tried to look at her fingers.

"Episkey!"

I heard my bone crack and I shrieked. "That hurt!" I complained.
