Alessa's POV

I gasped and sat up to cough out water.

"Draco." I unconsciously called out.

"Hey, I'm here, I'm here." He rushed to my side. "We're in the hospital wing. Madam Pomfrey told me that you drank a lot of Black Lake water, which evidently isn't good for you."

I slumped back on the bed, sighing in relief. "Stupid Pansy." I muttered angrily.

"Daphne didn't spare her any mercy." Draco whistled.

"What did Daphne do?" I asked, intrigued.

"I think she threw a balding potion to Parkinson." Draco laughed.

"What did Snape do?" I asked.

"Gave her detention for two months." Draco replied, playing with his rings.

"What happened after I passed out?" I concentrated, trying to remember everything.

"Don't try to think too hard, I think the Lake's water impairs memories." Draco took a glass of water and handed it to me.

I gulped down the water, not realizing how thirsty I was. I set the glass back down on the bedside table. I looked at Draco for him to go on. I just realized his hair was wet and he had changed into a new suit.

"Why are you wet?" I narrowed my eyes at him.

"I didn't want you to drown did I?" He grinned at me.

"So you saved me." I stated, leaning closer to him.

"No thank you?" He chuckled.

"Mm, thank you is not enough." I touched his hair.

Draco didn't push me away, as he would have done to anyone else who touched his hair. I quickly messed it up and edged away, laughing.

"Noo!" He stood up and looked at the mirror. "My hair." He pouted at me.

I just calmed down from my fit of laughter. "I like your hair messy." I grinned.

He huffed, "Whatever. We should be going to the Great Hall, the champions are about to be announced."

"Ooh I wonder who's going to represent Hogwarts." I leapt off the bed, straightening my clothes. "Maybe it's a Slytherin." My face lit up.

"Krum's going to be chosen." Draco said, grabbing his jumper from the table.

I pursed my lips. "Are you sure about that?" I snatched his sweater. "I bet you five galleons it's anyone but him."

Draco cocked an eyebrow, "That is incredibly unfair."

"Scared, Malfoy?" I smirked. I put his sweater on before he could take it back.

Draco hates it when someone underestimates him, which I like to use to my advantage.

"If I win the bet, you give me back all the hoodies you stole." He crossed his arms.

"If I win, I get your whole wardrobe." I poked his chest.

"Everything in my wardrobe?" He asked, looking over me.

"Everything." I whispered, stepping closer to him. He was incredibly taller than me, I had to crane my neck up to face him. His grey eyes stared at me, cold and hard.

"Miss Avery?" Madam Pomfrey came in.

I stumbled back and faced the nurse.

"Was I interrupting...?" She looked at Draco then me and back and forth. "Anyway," she shook her head as if to say teenagers. "Avery, you're free to go. Try not to visit the hospital wing for the third time this week, okay darling?"
