Alessa's POV
"Come out, Les." Daphne said behind the door.
"I don't know." I frowned and looked away from the mirror.
"I'm getting impatient." She groaned.
"Okay, okay." I opened the door.
"It's beautiful Les." Daphne smiled at me.
"'It'?" I rolled me eyes. "Not 'her'?"
"Have you seen the dress?" She gestured at my dress.
"It's more eye catching than you are." She laughed.
"Well I didn't know you liked blue." I lightly punched her arm.
Daphne was wearing a sleeveless rich blue dress. It had a diamond embezzled bodice and a lacy hem. It reached just perfectly above the floor. The dress was flowy yet elegant. It was perfect on Daphne. She wore dark blue pumps that matched her dress. She had a very expensive blue diamond necklace, earring and ring set.
"You still haven't told me your date Daph." I said, putting my heels on.
"Let's do our hair now!" She jumped around excitedly. "I want to do your hair."
"Sure." I shrugged and sat down.
Daphne waved her wand and lathered some cream on my hair for fifteen minutes. She had curled my hair to an elegant wave and put it in a neat bun. She pulled a few strands of my hair out and proceeded to squeal.
"Thanks Daphne!" I grinned, touching my hair. "Absolutely gorgeous."
"Now I'll do my makeup." I said, shooing her away to her vanity. "Now do your own hair. I do not want you late for your date with this mystery man." I smirked at her.
"Okay!" Daphne clapped her hands excitedly.
I waved my wand and makeup brushes and sponges started doing their magic. I opened my eyes and saw the perfect makeup that my magic has once again executed.
"Daphne, you done?" I looked over to her.
"Almost." She said.
I walked up to the mirror put up in the corner of the room. I gazed at the dazzling figure that was me. I wore an over the shoulder dark green dress. It was velvet, and so it beautifully adorns my figure. With my glittering silver snake heels, the dress touched the floor perfectly. I had Draco's necklace and rings on. I wore mother's emerald earrings and green silk gloves. She had owled them to me just the day before.
I felt beautiful.
"Ready, Lessa?" Daphne looped her arms around me.
"Can't wait." I smiled at her.
We walked to the doors of the Great Hall, hand in hand.
"You go first." I mumbled nervously.
"Sure!" Daphne rushed to the door. "I'd better see you down there." She winked at me.
She rushed over to the doors, readied herself, and opened the doors grandly. I saw her walk down the stairs elegant and poised like a princess. I fumbled with my hands nervously. I probably stood behind the door for at least five minutes before finally gaining my courage.
"This is why I'm not a Gryffindor." I whispered to myself.
I took a deep breath and opened the doors. I tired to focus on my walking so that I didn't trip. Even with my mind on the steps, I could feel everyone staring at me. I brought my chin up, and smiled. My worries faded away as I saw Draco standing at the foot of the stairs.
