Warning: Underage drinking!

I just transferred to my older brother, Jojo's, school this fall. It's hard entering into a new school during your junior year, because none of my old friends go here. The reason for that is because it's a very prestigious school, and Jojo too got in during his junior year, but now he's a senior.

But it's not all bad; I made a few new friends, memorized my schedule, got my binders organized, and signed up for the theatre department. But even though I made friends, none of them have the same lunch as me.

I look around the cafeteria for someone who I might know, but alas, no one. Thinking about it for a minute, I decide to eat in the courtyard in a random corner. But as soon as I open the door to outside, I hear my name called.

Looking to who called it, I see my brother and a few of his friends. Three of which I recognize as a few of his friends from middle school, who used to come over a lot, Race, Jack, and Albert. I'd say they were a bad influence on him by making him angsty, but he was already kinda like that before he met them.

"Y/n! Come 'ere!" Jojo yells, smiling at me. They're all standing in a circle and all the boys and girls of his group are eyeing me weirdly. I ignore their glares and walk over to them. As soon as I do, Jojo wraps an arm around my shoulder. "Guys, this is my sister, Y/n. This is her first day of junior year, so be nice to her."

I stand there, sticking out like a sore thumb. They're all wearing leather jackets, have nose, ear, mouth, and eyebrow piercings and have angry glares. While I am dressed 'normally', have no piercings on my face, and am smiling because I'm a total nerd who just wants to be friends.

"Hey, Y/n," Race says. I remember whenever he would come over; he would always be the high-energy goofball. At first, I didn't like him at all, because he would take Jojo's attention away from me. But then when I started to join them when they would hang out, I realized that he was a cool dude. At the end of 7th grade is probably when I'd say that I developed a crush on him. Alas, the crush went nowhere because they no longer would hang out at our house and would go downtown to do weird stuff, and I'd be left out.

"Heya, Race. How have you been?" I ask politely, earning a smirky-smile which is the smile he gives to try and look more 'edgy'.

"Fine. You?" He asks. I sigh, letting my posture droop down to reveal my stress.

"Exhausted. This day's been rough. And to top it off, I have nowhere to sit for lunch," I say. Jojo and Jack give eachother a knowing look, which scares me.

"It's alright, sis. You can sit with us! What do you guys think of showing my sister our spot?" He asks, which makes my legs tremble in fear. All the boys simultaneously agree. "Okay, then. Y/n, follow us!"

They all start walking to this separate part of the school, which isn't connected to the main school at all and is way smaller. While walking through the door, I notice how no one's in here.

"What is this place and why is no one else here?" I ask. Albert scoffs and turns to me.

"Haven't you heard about this place?" He asks sarcastically. I duck my head down from embarrassment for not knowing. But Race smacks the back of Albert's head.

"You idiot, it's her first day, of course she wouldn't know!" Race says to him, then turns to me with a smile. "This was the original school, back in 1899. It was known as the biggest school in all of (your state) because it wasn't a school house. Well, in 1942, we was hit with an earthquake which ruined the school. They decided to just rebuild it instead of repairing it, so our new school was built and this little old place became our hangout."
