You two have always been so close as a couple and even as best friends.

Jooheon always that type of person who'd never want you to do anything in return, and that he should always be the one to do all the sweet things to you.

Usually, Jooheon's comes early from Starship Entertainment, and as time passes by, he comes later than usual. And it always got you worried about it.

But you know that he's never the type to suddenly have a third party while he's with you, cause he's the type to tell you what he feels before doing something.

And so, he knew about how you feel sad about him coming home late all the time, so yesterday, he asked you out on a date today. Which you go so excited about since he's so thoughtful on dates. He'd plan ahead, make reservation, basically he makes it all out for you.

It's already 7:40 and you just finished putting in your makeup and you even wore your favourite dress for the date

You decided to wait for a while because he's probably stuck on traffic or something.

Time check,

It's now 8:20

"Where is he?" you thought

Probably stuck on traffic? but then, you also thought of things like

Is he gonna cancel our date?

But I'm all dressed up..

<Phone rings>

You looked at the name and it's actually Jooheon.

Oh good! He's probably outside or something. You answered the call.

"Jooheon? Where are you?"you asked

"Uhm Y/N, you didn't.. dress up and get even prettier right?" he asked you all of the sudden

You thought this was a question you should answer a "no" to, you didn't want to seem to desperate.. but you are.

"A-Aniyo, why?" you asked.

"You see Y/N, I am so sorry I can't be back early this time, I'll probably be home late. I have to cancel our date for today. I am sorry Y/N, I'll make it up for you tomorrow" he said as your mind went blank, and you couldn't help but look down.

"Oh, it's okay" you said

"I love you.." he said as you sighed and replied.

"I love you too" you hang up and felt really sad.

I knew this would happen. You couldn't help but let tears fall out from your face as you started changing to pajamas.

It was hard for you, since you're just full of questions for him, but of course you can't just ask him stuff because you don't know what it's like being and idol.

You decided to go upstairs and then sleep to forget what just happened tonight.

"How do I this? I feel bad for Y/N" you heard Jooheon's voice from outside your room.

What?

"I just feel like I don't deserve her" he said

Oh silly Jooheon, I'm the one that doesn't deserve someone like you.

"Okay, I'll call you back" you heard again as you sat on your bed

You were so full of questions when all of the sudden the door opened.

"Y/N, I'm sorry" Jooheon said as he rushed towards you.

"Wae?" you asked as he sighed and kissed you cheek.

"Shownu called me, He said you really got dressed up for the date and that you probably got disappointed that I couldn't come early" he said as you couldn't help but frown

Aish, Wonho I'm going to kill you when I see you

"Hey, it's okay. I understand your situation and I understand that this is nothing to be worried about by me" you said as he grabbed your hand.

"Guess what day it is" he said

"What?" you asked

"It's 12 am" he said as your eyebrows furrowed,

You tilted your head confused.

"Y/N, did you actually forget" he asked as you're still confused.

"It's your birthday Y/N" he said as it finally hits you

It's your birthday today.

"Right" you said as he looked at you sadly.

"How could you forget your own birthday?" he asked as you laughed.

"I don't know, I don't really care about it that much" you said as he frowned and then he pulled you into a hug.

"I promise, I'll be here the whole day tomorrow to make it up to you. No distractions. It's just you and me tomorrow for the whole day" he said as he kissed you first on the lips and then hugged you again after.
