eveline hadn't gotten a time to ask patrick about the truck incident, instead she just focused on decorating her room with her friend,

"you have so much cool stuff," greta was looking through eveline's box of knick knacks, each time examining them then placing them on her shelves,

"my mum and dad used to buy me something every time we went somewhere," eveline smiled at the memories of her parents,

greta had never heard about any parents in the payne siblings life. sure she was curious but she wasn't an idiot, she knew to not bring up parents that aren't there.

but eveline brought them up, so it couldn't be that bad if greta asked about them, right?

"what happened to them?" eveline paused at greta's question. what had happened to them?

well she didn't exactly know, she remembered coming home and finding her mum surrounded by alcohol and empty pill bottles, seemingly dead, and calling steven, who then called the cops. she then remembered money getting tight for a bit, what with her mum hospitalized and her lack of income made it difficult, until one day it just wasn't, no one questioned it, eveline just assumed her father got a raise or something,

then the memory of her father's arrest popped into her brain, cops swarming their house and having to rip apart every room, her and her siblings just having to sit there as their life was ripped away,

greta took her silence as discomfort and tried to clear things up, "it's ok if you don't want to talk about it!"

"no no, it's just im not completely sure what happened, my mum tried to harm herself, i know that," greta gasped, eveline knowing what she was assuming and quickly corrected herself, "she's alive, don't worry!" greta let out a breathe, "she's just getting help right now,"

"and your dad?"

"that's where the tricky part is, i really don't know. he did something bad, and he got caught, ted, dennis and i had to live with our aunt and uncle while steven worked it out with a lawyer for us to live with him, then we moved here." eveline went back to decorating her room and greta dropped the topic, instead trading it out for lighter, more fun topics, like how hot she thought ted was.

"he's my brother!"

"so? you have to admit he's fucking smoking!" eveline rolled her eyes playfully.

speak of the devil, ted opened the door and popped his head in,

"teddy!" eveline smiled at the boy, both failing to notice greta who was as red as a tomato,

"me and the boys are watching 'back to the future', you in?" his question was directed more towards his sister but greta nodded her head.

"yeah! we could use a break anyways!"

so there they all were, eating popcorn and enjoying the classic film.

greta and eveline sat on the loveseat, ted and victor taking up the two lazy boys while henry, belch and patrick sat on the floor, resting against vic's and ted's chair and the loveseat respectfully.

the movie went all right, a few snarky comments from henry though,

"does anyone ever question why marty, a teenage boy, is friends with an adult scientist?" he was met with harsh shushes, holding his hands up in surrender, henry continued, "im just saying! its kinda fucking weird!" he was only met with popcorn thrown at his head.

soon the movie was done and they all stretched,

"wait, don't we have the second one somewhere?" all of them perked up at ted, none of them except eveline watched the second one yet they have it on tape!
