Bitch. I am reeling. What the fuck? What do I do now ? Okay let's think rationally here. I'm not even sure if Baltimore is talking about Brianna. At this point I'm downing my mimosa.

"Mannnn, I told yo fool ass strap up!" Reese says jumping off the stool and to his feet, throwing his hands up in the air.
"Listen that's done and over with bro. She ain't gone keep it. I mean how could she when she got that nigga at home? They playing couple of the year. She said she gonna leave him but mannnn... he's her whole livelihood. Nigga takes care of her, which is great cause I sure ain't doing it.  After she told me that, this bitch got the nerve to suck my dick all crazy and then run right back to him. She gets around, I feel bad for that nigga." Baltimore responds.

Me too, Baltimore.

"Let me know how that goes bro." Reese says dismissively, walking back to the sofa.
"Aigh, peace King." The call ends and Reese is back on the couch next to me. He looks at me and shakes his head. I had to front like I wasn't as disappointed as he was.
"Damn, that's crazy." I say as I pour some patron into my glass.
"That's my bro and all, but B never been that "family man" type. I mean at one point he was.. but that's another story. I can't even inject my thoughts into that, he knew what he signed up for. I mean, he ain't know she had a nigga already but we heard a few things. He knew what was up with that girl before he even gave her a chance. Now look, caught up in some bullshit. But after what he just told me, I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't his." he says as he shakes his head , seeming to stray further and further from reality.

"Who is this chick anyway?" I'm trying to get as much information as I can, for Avery. Even though I had no idea how to tell him..
"B-Brielle? B-Bria??" Reese leaned forward, clasping his hands together as he thought intently for another "B" name.
"Brianna?" I asked. I know I shouldn't have but I was dying to know.
"Yeah!" He looks over at me and flashes me a quick grin. Fuck.
Fuck
Fuck
Fuck!!!!
"You know her?" the grin fades.
"Nah. But it sounded like you needed some help remembering her name, just a wild guess." I took a long sip of my patron and orange juice, looking up at the tv while doing so.
"Oh okay. Well yeah, Brianna. She met Baltimore and I at the gym up on 7th. She came onto B hard. Thought they were about to get down and dirty right where they were standing . This was about two months ago, they been sneaking around ever since. And now she telling him she got another nigga? I wonder who he is cause that boy in for some shit!" he shakes his head.
"Damn shame." I say as I stared off hatefully into a corner, hoping Reese ain't notice. I cant believe this shit. And what's even worse is I have to be the one to tell Avery. How? Bitch, I don't know . I just know I have to.

Ferrari's Lounge and Cafe

"Are you nervous?" I asked with an awkward smile on my face, looking over at Reese, who was shaking a bit.
"Usually I'm not, but tonight I am. I've never done a piece like this before." he says while shifting uncomfortably in his seat.
"What kind of pi-"
"And next, we have a well known, favorite performer here at Ferrari's , Reese! Get up here!" Ferrari Tompkins says , gesturing for Reese to come onto the stage. A spotlight shines on Reese, and as he stands to get up , he smiles at me and heads to the mic.

"This poem is for someone special. I never done anything like this before, but this person, this woman." Reese says as he looks coyly into the audience.

He meant me.

"This woman has been nothing has been nothing but amazing. She's smart, beautiful and funny. We're still getting to know each other, but I want her to know how much I admire her already."

I blow him a kiss and the small audience claps vigorously . I smiled shyly, looking down at my feet, then the spotlight was on me.

"You know I love her brown skin." He begins , reciting so smoothly .
"5'2 and fine like wine,
hips for days and yet I'm amazed,"
"Alright now!" a black woman says, smiling and clapping.
"by her beauty, by her grace
and her face?
lord god she is beautiful,
and brown skin
you know i love her brown skin."

He finished and I immediately stood up, clapping like a mad woman and smiling profusely.

"Come." he mouthed and waved for me to come onto the stage. I came from around the table and walked onto the stage, the claps getting louder and various calls from the crowd arising as I continued past tables.
"Wooooo go ahead now!"
"Beautiful!"
Reese pulled me into a slow kiss and then hugged me. He pulled away then smiled at me, I smiled back and grabbed his hand.

Nobody's ever done something like this for me before, I felt so valued, so appreciated. He slowly but surely sweeping me off my feet.
