Kelly's Penthouse
Manhattan, NYC

I walked in and the morning air rushed towards me, slightly lifting my hair.

My heels clicked lowly on the marble floors as I slowly walked in further. I haven't been here for a while.

"Let me know if you need anything, Kelly." Raymond says as he placed my bags down next to the door .

Raymond is a family friend, him and my dad go wayyy back. He's like an uncle to me really, so when he heard about what happened with Reese he offered his services. Now, he lives one floor under me. and vowed to be there whenever I need him to be. I trust that he'll do the job well. Not just because he's big and burly with a cold demeanor , but because of something that happened years ago.

Blast from the past
July 19th,2014

"Goodnight Kelly." My father says as he stands up and heads towards the door.

Kayla, Kendrick, Kadeem , Dad and I had a movie night in my room, he insisted we all spend some time together. After 2 bags of doritos, a shitload of popcorn and 2 pints of ice cream, he got tired and ended up falling asleep on my floor.

I stayed up and finished Transformers, and my siblings left one by one and went to their rooms.

But I heard my daddy's car start and I thought he was leaving. So I got up.

I walked into the kitchen and seen that the side door was open, letting in a slight breeze. I peeked out and seen Daddy and Raymond carrying something long and large, wrapped in a garbage bag.

"Get his head." I heard Raymond say quietly , and then some shuffling as they came closer to the door. I quickly leaned against the wall as flat as I can.

I peeked out and seen them tossing whatever it was into the back of Daddy's car.

"Alright, I'll drive." Dad tossed Ray the keys and the got in the car. I quickly ran to the living room, put on my slides, and opened the door slightly just as they pulled out of the driveway. Once they reached the end of the block, Ray turned on the left turn signal and I quickly ran over to Keivon's old bike.

The car came to a stop at the bottom of an off ramp. I looked at Manhattan as the city light danced across the slow moving, murky water of the Hudson River. The slamming of the car doors and the shuffling of their feet snapped me out of my trance, I dragged myself and the bike behind a post and listened .

"Alright let's go." I watched as they walked towards the water, each holding either end of the object in the garbage bag.

That's when I seen it.

A limb stuck out of the bag, and Raymond tucked it back in with a gloved hand. They dropped the body on the edge of the water, then unwrapped it to reveal a dead man. Then just as I thought it couldn't get any worse, I noticed Raymond digging through a duffel bag, he took out a saw and began sawing away at the man's head.

I went back behind the post and gagged, painfully clutching my neck with one hand, my stomach with the other.

Suddenly, I saw the flickers of light, I peeked back around and seen they started a fire. They tossed the body in the flames and watched as it began to burn.

As the flames died out, Raymond took out another bag and scooped up what was left , then carefully put the remains into a bag. Both of them stood up, then they carried it about 15 feet away from where they originally were; a boat. They tossed the bag inside and both got in, then they disappeared.
