Today we find out the gender of the baby. But something was off.

Ever since Kadeem said I was having twins, I've been feeling different. But what does a 7 year old know, right? I mean, I would've known by now if I was having twins .. right?

"Everyone here?" my father asked from the front seat of the Sprinter.

"Yeah Dad, we're good to go." Kayla said as she buckled her seatbelt, then she flashed me a bright smile.

"So what do you think you're having?" she whispered to me amongst the chatter of everyone else.

"I don't know, sis. I want a boy but-"

"I think you're having a boy and a girl." she looked down at my small belly and I pursed my lips as she looked on happily.

"You too huh." I was half satisfied at this whole belief that I was having twins. My first ultrasound showed one baby, so that's what the hell it was.

"Okay , I'm gonna just lift this up." Dr Howard said as she lifted my shirt just below my breasts, revealing my small baby bump. "18 weeks, are you all excited?" she asked.

"Yes!" we all said in unison. I asked if everyone can be in the room and they made an exception.

"Oh, and she doesn't want to know the gender!" my mom chimed happily. "Or genders." Kendrick said lowly. I turned my nose up at him and he pushed his glasses back nervously. "Sorry sis."

"This will be a little cold." I watched as Doctor Howard applied the gel on my stomach. Avery squeezed my hand and I looked up at him. He smiled reassuring and I returned it, then looked over at Dr Howard.

"So is it really possible that I could be having twins? I mean, my first ultrasound showed one baby."

"Well, I've seen your first ultrasound, and it was just a small sac. But had you come a little bit after that, we would've been able to tell you more. So, let's make sure you're following up with me, okay?" she smiled as she placed the wand on my belly and applied a bit of pressure. She turned the screen towards me and I heard a few footsteps as my brothers , sister and parents came a little closer.

Kayla gasped and my mother laughed . "I know twins when I see them!" my mom says.

And she was right, two babies appeared on the screen and Dr Howard nodded in confirmation.

"Yes!" Kadeem jumped happily. "I was right!"

I forgot to look at Avery, but when I did he looked shocked, but not more than me.

"Congratulations!" Dr Howard looked down at me.

"Wow." that was all I could say. "Just wow."

"I'll put the genders in an envelope." Dr Howard winked at my mom.

"Congratulations, baby." Avery kissed my forehead, and then my lips. I felt a little tongue and when he pulled away I poked my cheek with my tongue repeatedly and he caught on. Everyone was too elated to notice.

I was happy too! But twins? This is crazy! But on the bright side, I did have some experience; Kayla and Kendrick.
