MALE READER LIME COLLEGE AU

Kars had just gotten back from his Environmental Studies lecture on the other side of campus and flopped down on his bed. A heavy sigh left his lips as he closed his eyes and slipped off his glasses. His messy purple hair, that he insists is natural, is spread around his head in a sleepy halo. If I wasn't so scared of rejection I'd just kiss his stupid face right now. But no, I get internal gay panic. Again.
"Something wrong? You've been staring at me since I got back. Do I have snow still in my hair? The blizzard outside would not let up." I snap out of my fantasy and shake my head.
"Oh! Sorry, no I was just in writer mode. Describing everything that happened from when you opened the door. You know how this creative writing class gets me." I nervously laugh, trying to sell that that's what I was actually thinking. Another thing about Kars, he's crazy good at telling when you're lying.
"Yeah, I don't know how you can do it as an English Major. I would throw my books out of a window faster than you could spell 'defenestrate'," he jokes, making me laugh harder than I probably should have.
"Fair, but I definitely feel that way sometimes too. I don't know how you do it as an Environmental Sciences Major. What exactly are you planning on for a career anyway?"
He sits up and places his glasses back on the bridge of his nose. Nose bleed! Not really though, that'd be weird. He grabs his bag and starts to put the contents away as he began to answer me. "Well, I love nature and I would like to be an activist, however that doesn't pay bills in this society, so I'm going to be one of those scientists that prove or disprove major natural phenomenon. I'm also debating on an Aviation Major to do as a fall-back if the scientist thing flops."
"Wow, you're so smart." Shit. The gay came out!
"Why thank you, but you're brilliant when it comes to putting words into stories and poetry. Especially when it comes to your male protagonists. Is it just easier to wright for your own gender or is it more of a preference thing?"
"O-Oh well, I guess it depends on the writer. Personally it's a preference, but it is easier to write same gender pieces." Yes! He thought it was something different! "Anyway, I don't think I'll be up too late tonight, just tell me when you wanna go to bed."
"Alright, but if you want to go to bed first don't be shy."
----------
A few hours passed in silence, but it continuously got colder and colder. The main heater for the dorm went out, and since the raging blizzard outside has blocked almost all of the roads to the college, the heater will stay down until further notice.
I began to shiver as the cold drafts blow through the room. "Sh-shit it's cold." I sigh and I think I can almost see my own breath. "H-hey Kars? You still up?"
"Yes," he says surprisingly level, "are you cold, (Y/n)?"
"V-v-very." I breath in shakily, "W-would you mind if I took some blankets, o-or even if we huddled t-together for warmth. L-like penguins-s." I giggle a little at the idea of us waddling together like penguins.
"Of course not, come and bring your blankets. We can huddle in my bed and get some sleep." I wrap myself in my duvet and a few quilts, because Grams "can't let her little boy freeze!" and hobble over to Kars's open arms. His bed is right next to the old radiator that the college hasn't bothered to take out of the building so it's a tad warmer over here. I huddle into his strong arms and barely notice his hand on my lower back until it moves up by a centimetre. I let out a little yelp and he immediately backs off.
"Sorry, I didn't realize that would make you uncomfortable." The rumble of his voice reverberates against my hands and I can't help but squish closer to him.
"It's fine, I just didn't notice your hand." He hums in understanding and slowly slides his hand back to my lower back, subtly pushing my shirt up to rest his hand on my chilled skin. His other hand slowly trailed up my arm, back-tracking then continuing up, eventually wrapping my smaller body in his strong arms. I hum in content and he chuckles lightly.
"You know, I always wondered what this would feel like. You in my arms, I mean." My eyes widened and I was shocked out of my content daze. I looked up at him to see him smirking down at me, light blush on his cheeks. "Do you not appreciate that? I'll stop if it's unwelcome."
"N-no! I mean, um, I, ah how do I put this?" I buried my head in his chest for a second before looking back up, confidence in my eyes, only to say the most awkward line I possibly could. "It's very welcome, actually, and very appreciated. I've wondered about similar things between us too, so it's fine."
Silence filled the air for a good thirty seconds before he began laughing. After calming down slightly, he chuckled out, "You only speak like that when you don't know what to say, so I'll take it this flusters you quite a bit." I turn red and bury my head in his chest since that's the only thing I can bury my head in at the moment. "Well, would you be a dear and elaborate on what you have 'wondered' about?" My face only continued to burn as I mumbled my response.
"I'm sorry (Y/n), but I couldn't hear you."
"Kissing you and, um, other things."
"Other things?"
"Like- You know, like sleeping together."
The silence was thick and I felt my heart drop to the floor. Oh no. Now I've done it-
His hand pulled my abdomen into his, while his other hand leaned my chest away from him. He lowered his head to my neck and he simply whispered against my skin, "I'm glad we have similar interests. How about we, explore, some options."
~lime warning~
I nodded like my life depended on it as his warm lips trailed down to my collarbone, where he began kissing, making individual contact with his lips over every millimetre of space he could. It was almost like he was starved and I was the first meal he'd seen in months. I felt like I was going to be devoured by his touches. My hard-on was not helping my case either. Kars trailed his tongue up to my jawline, where he kissed to my chin, and paused just above my lips.
"Are you sure?" That one question just about drove me insane. The depth and softness of his voice made me melt further into his grasp.
"Yes," I barely breathed out before I was layed out on the blankets, the ones I brought now knocked to the floor. He slipped his hands under my shirt and slowly pushed it over my skin, trailing kisses just below the hem. "Kars," I nearly whispered, but he stopped and looked up to meet my eyes. "Kiss me already."
Like a magic word, he pressed his lips to mine and leaned an elbow next to my head. His hair slowly acted like a curtain, separating us from the world around us. My hands slowly made their way from his chest to his face, slowly wrapping behind his neck, pulling us closer. His free hand slipped below my lower back and pulled me up to meet his body. We finally separated, panting for air as my head was flooded with pure happiness.
~end of lime~
"I've never wanted to hold you close as much as I do right now, (Y/n). I dare say I want to be with you, as more than friends or roommates." His heavy eyes looked into mine, an almost crimson glint in the faint moonlight. "However, the cold is not helping if you catch my drift."
I redden slightly and giggle, kissing his nose. "I see, well I guess just sleeping together will do for now," I reply with a breathless smile.
[Inspired by the photo and the roommates meme, because I needed some Kars semi-smut in my life that wasn't a Yandere fic lol]
