Ever since I learned about my crush and my new found sexuality I struggled. It was hard seeing Valerie with Felix. Although they only had lunch twice a week, I was never able to get rid of him. He's always there. Waiting for her in front of our classes, she even accompanies him to his if she has time. I can't realy seem to run away from them.
I told Patty about it. My crush, and me being bisexual. She accepted it without question. Here only question though was if I can see myself bein with a girl. And I answered yes. Because honestly I' ve been strugling with it since I started highschool. But only recently I learned what label fits that.
Since Felix was always having lunch with us, I soon started to skip it. I didn't want to be near him. i avoided him and them together as much as I could. However when I couldn't avoid him, I was nice. He actualy seemed like a nice person. His only problem was that he was dating my crush.
One day, when I actualy had lunch at school after two weeks, Felix and Valerie were talking about Felix's birthday party.
»So since my birthday is coming up, I was thinking about having a birthday party at my house.« Felix said.
»That's a great idea honey.« Valerie answered.
I sat there eating my lunch hoping he wasn't thinking of inviting me. But I was wrong.
»Hey April, you're invitied if you want to come. It's going to be next Friday at my house. You could meet some of my friends. Have fun.« he suggested. He looked at me waiting for a response. I could feel Val's eyes on me too.
I swallowed a bite of the extremly greasy hamburger and said: » Y-yeah sure. I'll think about it.«
»Come on April! It'll be fun! You'll see. You can even meet one of Felix's friends. What's his name? The one with the glasses, smart, cute...« she was looking at Felix for help.
»Luke?«
»Yes! Luke!« She exclaimed.
I realy wasn't looking to meetin anyone. But she realy looked keen on getting me there one way or another so I said yes.
************
Felix's party was tomorrow. I was getting cold feet. i doubted my decision of attending this party ever since I said yes. Val was naggin about it all week. Considering I was sick thelast two days it definetly felt like a week.she even texted me everyday about this Luke guy.
I texted Patty who always seemed to be on her phone considering I always got a reply within seconds.
»I don't want to goooo. Felix's gonna be there«
»Well you said you'll go. But if you don't want to... it's your choice you know?«
»I know, but I don't want to leave Valerie alone. I'll be one of the few people she knows there.«
»As I said. It's your choice, But considering you were sick you should stay home.«
»No. I'll be fine. Can I text you if anything goes wrong tomorrow?«
»Of course! And have fun! Don't think about them, okay?«
»Will try not to.«
As I set of to the party next evening mom stopped me.
»You know I don't think it's a good idea going partying right after being sick?« she seemed genuienly worried.
»Don't worry mom. I'll be right down the street. As soon as I feel bad I'll come home« I assured her.
»Okay have fun!« she said. I waved goodbye to Jack and George and left the house.
