Chapter one

Intro

You are a 12 year old girl. Your name is Madalynn but people call you Maddy. Your parents used to abuse you however, over a year ago they got into a car accident and died. The adoption center took you in because you have no family left.

Chapter 1

It was the morning of a new day, I got a shower, did my makeup, and got dressed in ripped jeans, white hoodie, and white vans. Mrs. Ramond told us the night before that there would be someone looking to adopt today.

Mrs. R- Good morning Maddy, the person is downstairs he would like to see all girls from 11-13. Could you gather all the girls and bring them down?

Maddy- Yes of course, we will be down in a second.

Maddy- Hey everybody listen up all girls age 11-13 come downstairs there is someone here looking to adopt.

Emily- Why don't you just stay up here? Never in a million years would someone ever want to adopt you!

Emily was always mean to me, ever since I moved into this adoption center she would always brag about how her parents were "still alive" and were going to come back and get her any day now. Me being me walked out of the room, and ignored her. I walked down to see a man sitting on the couch.

Mrs. R- Thank you Maddy. This young man is looking to adopt one of you today. His name is Bryce Hall. So, with that being said get into a line and introduce yourselves.

Right as I was about to get into the line Emily came up to me and pushed me out of the way. I fell to the ground and all the girls started laughing at me . Again, me being me just got up and went into the back of the line. For some odd reason Bryce kept on making eye contact with me (a few minutes pass). Finally, I was up...

Maddy- Hello I'm maddy, I love to play sports, I sing, and I dance.

Bryce- Hey Maddy, it's so nice to finally meet you. Mrs R told me all about you.

Maddy- Yeah we're really close I help around with the little ones a lot.

Bryce- That's really thoughtful of you.

I smiled and went back to the line up. Mrs. R and Bryce were talking so all the girls socialized while I sat on the couch twirling my hair (5 minutes passed). Then, it was time to announce who got adopted.

Mrs. R- Okay girls quiet down! Bryce has decided that he wanted to adopt Maddy.

Maddy- Really?!?

Bryce- Really!

Maddy- Oh my gosh!

I ran up to him and gave him a big hug. While I was packing I realized that I was going to miss this place. I mean after all they were really the only family I had. That was going to change today. When I was done packing Emily walked up to me. She looked like she wanted to say something, but she didn't. She hugged me and told me how sorry she was for treating me that way over the past 5 years. I told her it was okay and left with Bryce. We got into the car and he started talking to me.

Bryce- So Maddy tell me more about yourself.

Maddy- Well, my parents used to abuse me, so I went into the orphanage, after I went there I started getting bullied at school and at the orphanage, I have been there for 5 years. I heard over a year ago that my parents died in a car accident. I hate my life but, from the looks of it I know that it is going to change.

Bryce- What makes you say that?

Maddy- You seem like a really nice guy.

Bryce. Well thank you that means a lot.
