chapter five

A week has passed and I was allowed to go places and have friends over again. I told Chase how I felt 2 days ago and he said he felt the same. I said I was grounded but we could hang out as soon as I became un-grounded.

TEXT'S

Maddy:

Hey chase, I got un-grounded today, you want to hang out?

Chase:

Yesss! I will be over in 15 and then we will call an uber and go get food.

Maddy:

That's perfect! See you soon.

I got a shower, got dressed, and did my make up. I was wearing a strapless black dress with a red headband and red Nike air forces. I waited around for a minute before Chase knocked on the door. I got up and opened it.

Chase- Maddy you look amazing!

Before I could say anything Josh interrupted.

Josh- Yeah I know she does. She's beautiful. Now what are you doing here Chase?

Maddy- He's taking me on a date.

Josh- Um no he's not.

Chase- Yes I am.

Maddy- Hey Chase wait here I am going to go talk to my dad.

I walked up to my dad, he was chilling around with Jaden.

Maddy- Hey dad Chase is going to take me on a date. We will be home around 10.

Jaden looked mad.

Bryce- okay.

Jaden- Don't do anything dumb.

Maddy- Copy that.

I walked out of the room and went back to Chase. We went to Olive Garden to eat. Then we went to the mall. My phone died so I had to wait until we got in the car to charge my phone. My phone turned on it was 10:30 and I had 5 missed calls from my dad. I called him back, he answered.

Maddy- Hey dad sorry I didn't answer my phone die-

Bryce- Died? Yeah I could tell. You didn't answer any of my calls. I was worried.

Maddy- Yeah I figured. I'm sorry dad. We are headed home right now.

Bryce- Okay see you soon bye.

Maddy- Bye.

BRYCE'S POV:

Jaden- Why did you go so easy on her?

Bryce- Her phone was dead. Was I supposed to be mad at her?

Jaden- Yeah! What if she was having sex, drinking, doing drugs or something?

Bryce- She wasn't. So just chill.

Jaden- How can I chill? She's my little sister.

Bryce- Yeah she's my daughter. I was worried. Now I'm not. Whatever she's back, be normal.

Jaden- Yeah whatever.

MADDY'S POV:

We got back to the house.

Chase- Do you mind if I chill here for a little bit? Dre seemed a little mad that I was hanging out with you tonight.

Maddy- Dre? That's weird.

I said making a concerned face.

Chase- So, can I?

Maddy- Oh yeah. I'm sure the boys won't mind.

He leaned in and kissed me. It turned into a makeout session. He slammed me into the wall right outside the front door. I slid my hand around him and opened the door. We were finally inside. I closed the door behind me. I was pressed up against the door. Next thing I know someone was hollering my name. It was Griff.

Griff- MADDY! What are you doing?

Maddy- Oh my gosh. Uhh... nothing

I said, wiping my lips.

Griff- Wow! I can't believe what I just saw.

Chase- I'm so sorry I didn't expect that to happen.

Griff- No, it's okay. I just don't like seeing my sister making out.

Then Josh walked up behind Griff.

Josh- Wait! What? You were making out with Chase?

Maddy- Yeah. I'm so sorry Josh. Don't tell my dad please?

Josh- I won't. I just don't like when you do that it makes me feel uncomfortable.

Maddy- Okay now that it is weird...can Chase stay for a little bit Dre and him are fighting because he was hanging out with me tonight?

Griff and Josh- Yeah I don't care.

Josh- But you have to stay down here and watch a movie.

Maddy- Okay.

I said smirking at Chase.

Josh- And I'm watching it with you so don't get any ideas.

Chase laughed and then we watched a scary movie. Whenever I got scared he would whisper in my ear Don't worry baby I'm here I liked it when he called me that. Then after the movie was over he went home. I walked back up to my room and laid down. I was about to drift off when Jaden walked in.

Jaden- So how was the date?

Maddy- It was good. When we came home we started making out...he's such a good kisser.

Jaden looked at me with a mad face. Then he put his hands around my waist, picked me up out of my bed and kissed me. I don't know why but I kissed back.

Maddy-  WAIT JADEN! What are you doing?

Jaden- I couldn't resist any longer.

He kissed me again.

Maddy- Jaden we can't your my brother. Get off me.

Jaden did as I said and he got off.

Jaden- I'm so sorry Maddy sometimes I get carried away. You don't understand how hard it has been hearing you talk about Chase. Worst of all it was so hard seeing my little sister grow up. You're the most beautiful girl I know and I couldn't hold back any longer. I had to kiss you.

Maddy- Listen I understand but do you know how mad my dad would be if he heard about this?He would make you leave the Sway House.

Jaden- That is why you will keep it a secret and not tell him, or else I will tell him about the party.

Maddy- Oh so you're blackmailing me now.

Jaden- No, it's not like that. I can't live without seeing you everyday. I want to stay.

Maddy- Okay I won't tell.

Jaden- Maddy?

Maddy- Yes, Jaden?

Jaden- Can I sleep in here tonight?

Maddy- Yeah, of course.

Jaden- Thanks.

Jaden and I got situated in bed and he cuddled up against me. Not going to lie I felt safe with him but, that didn't matter, he was my brother. There was only one question that I still had. Why did Jaden feel this way?
