Don't go to those woods over there; Save the me who's being punished; In the previous life and maybe the next too; We're eternally together.
This mysterious scripture, the hooded figures, the seductive allure of Park Ji Min.......will you be able to...
"What nonsense is this??" you say out loud, flinging yourself away from the paper as though it's cursed. "Why" you continue to yourself, "would a random piece of paper land in front of me saying 'save me', 'stay by my side', 'we're eternally together'....?! Good grief, they sound more like lyrics from seriously old songs. That must be it, some teacher probably left it behind in the library years ago." You roll your eyes and say, "yeah and then it magically just floated down in front of me in the middle of a deadly quiet library."
You continue like this in your head, but that makes more sense than this piece of paper being some sort of cry for help. Doesn't it? Is there someone out there who needs saving? Someone who needs me by their side.....eternally? (would be nice if it was Ji Min) no, not the time Rumi! You have other things on your plate right now, you berate yourself. You spend a good few minutes deep in your own inner monologue, debating the significance of this piece of paper. Thankfully no-one else can hear your thoughts otherwise they'd think you were crazy.
Except, there is someone in the whole Academy who can hear other people's thoughts, and that someone has been listening outside your room door and is now quietly walking away, frowning at having 'heard' something very concerning.
Laying your head on the pillow, lost in your thoughts, you fall asleep. You dream, this time, is that you are in the music video of that old BTS song, "Save Me". Each Bangtan member is reaching out their arms to you singing the famous chorus line, "Save me, save me, I need your love before I fall, fall...", you fall deeper and deeper into it.
You wake up on Sunday, feeling surprisingly well-rested. You immediately check to see whether the translation of the script was just a dream. Sadly it is still there and you hadn't imagined it all. You get dressed and decide to go to the canteen. Maybe eating a hearty breakfast will help clear your head about the scripture. Or maybe you'll bump into someone there who can distract you from the contents of the script. Either way, getting some food seems like a good plan right now.
Still no sign of Bangtan in the canteen, but you decide not to think about that either and just focus on filling your rumbling stomach. You join another teacher sitting alone at a table and make polite conversation. I should get to know other staff too other than the Bangtan gang. Eating and talking help distract you momentarily. You excuse yourself when you're done and walk out, wondering what to do with the rest of your weekend. I think I should take a walk to the Gwangju wing and see what mysteries lie in there. Ok maybe not 'mysteries', I don't think I can take any more surprises.
This wing is more vibrant in colour as it has large colourful block patterns on the floor and wreaths of unusual flowers adorning the walls. It is a lot brighter and your mood immediately lifts as you walk through the corridors. I wonder if Ho Seok designed this wing, it seems to match his personality, you ponder as you walk around. Even the ceiling has patched of coloured glass. You continue to stroll, glancing into different rooms, when you notice Principal Bang, Nam Joon and Yoongi in one, standing and talking to each other. You walk back on yourself, curious to hear what they're discussing. The door was slightly ajar, but they were talking in such a low tone that you have to strain to listen.
"It was found near the lake Principal Bang, lying on the ground. I'm not sure how it managed to break through our shield, which is worrying," it sounds like Nam Joon speaking.
"But at least the shield managed to render it weak and it didn't survive being in our world," counters Yoongi.
"That may be so, but we will need to further strengthen the shielding spell," instructs Principal Bang. "If one came through, it will only be a matter of time before more follow."
"Yes Principal Bang, I will gather the others tonight and do what's needed," replies Nam Joon.
"By the way, how is Ji Min doing? Will he be well enough to join you?" asks Principal Bang.
Nam Joon glances at Yoongi, apparently unsure how to answer, but then says, "I think he will be ok Sir, but the episodes seem to be lasting longer. Yoongi's elixirs have been helping so far, but again, we will need to make them stronger. I also worry that his absences are starting to get noticed."
"We have another problem by the way," Yoongi says gravely, "as you suggested, I overheard your new ESD teacher's thoughts, which she has a lot of, but specifically, she has found something that she shouldn't have."
