Don't go to those woods over there; Save the me who's being punished; In the previous life and maybe the next too; We're eternally together.
This mysterious scripture, the hooded figures, the seductive allure of Park Ji Min.......will you be able to...
You both silently leave the library and walk back to your room, escorted by Jung Kook. You both feel the gravitas of what was just said and what now lays ahead for all of you. Once you reach your room, you say goodnight to Jung Kook who looks at you worriedly, but you assure him that you are ok.
This leaves you with yet more things to contemplate.
You came to the Academy thinking it was going to be a new chapter in your life, opening doors to fresh new opportunities. Whilst both those facts have technically come true, it isn't what you had imagined. In fact, it is so far removed what you'd imagined, that you laugh at your own naivety. You thought it would just be you finding your feet at the Academy, learning from your peers, thriving as an ESD teacher, possibly climbing the professional ladder. Those things have now very much been pushed aside whilst you concentrate on dealing with a much more pressing, potentially life-threatening, matter at hand. Demons from another world to deal with. A protective shield around the Forbidden Lake that needs you to strengthen it further. Ji Min suffering convulsions every month which are apparently getting worse. And all of Bangtan actively involved.
The way Seok Jin, Ho Seok and Tae Hyung behave, you think they're either very good at hiding their true feelings or haven't come to terms with the seriousness of the situation. This all explains Yoongi's off-hand attitude towards you; he's probably finding it very difficult to trust anyone right now. After all, these guys have been together for most of their lives and now one of their own is suffering. Severely.
It's all too much to take in and you feel a headache coming on. You picture Nam Joon rubbing his temples and think this must be how he feels all the time. As the leader of the gang, he must keenly feel the pressure of responsibility on his shoulders. With that thought, you decide to help in any way you can. If he's asked for your help, then he must have faith in you for some reason. There is, however, still this nagging feeling in the back of your mind about the scripture that landed in front of you.
Don't go to those woods over there; Save the me who's being punished; The small pieces guttered down darkly; Will you stay by my side; In the previous life and maybe the next too; We're eternally together.
In light of what you now know, the first three phrases seem to clearly refer to Ji Min's predicament. Which means something bigger is going on with him than you all know. The last three phrases could refer to you and him, if that feeling of connection is to be trusted. But who sent you this paper? There was no-one else in the library that day, was there?
It suddenly dawns on you that it's Monday tomorrow and you haven't planned a single lesson. And now you are too mentally drained to think about it. Ah well, looks like the students will get to experience my infamous 'winged' lessons instead. Your eyes are heavy and your brain is spent, so you decide that sleep is the only next logical course of action. Just as your head hits the pillow, there is a quiet knock on the door. Of course someone would knock on my door at this precise moment, you think bemused at your poor luck.
"Jung Kook, now is really not the time.....", you start as you open the door, but the person in front of you is not Jung Kook. The person in front of you has bright eyes and bright pink hair to match.
You gasp as you see Ji Min standing in front of you. He looks tired (expectedly!), but he gives you a weak smile and says, "Can I please come in for a minute Rumi?"
"Of course, but why are you even here? When did you wake up? Do the others know? Should you even be walking about like this?" you bombard him with questions.
He answers in a quiet voice, "Yes the others know. I really wanted to see you Rumi to thank you for agreeing to help us."
"You didn't have to thank me in person, there was absolutely no need for you to exert yourself like this! With all you've been through, go rest right now!", you go into full teacher mode, arms flaying, but Ji Min smiles and pins your arms down.
"I also wanted to finish what we couldn't before," he says going straight for your mouth. He kisses you tenderly yet passionately, your face in his hands. You feel like you're falling deeper into his soul as though you've both been waiting your whole lives for this. Then after what seems like not nearly long enough, you both part lips, chests heaving. Your foreheads touching and him looking into your eyes, he says, "I know you have questions, and I don't have all the answers, but that's not for tonight. Tonight, the only thing I wanted to do as soon as I regained consciousness, was this."
