You are finished for the day and check Nam Joon's timetable. He doesn't have any lessons right now, and coincidentally, neither does Yoongi. You head over to Principal Bang's office, and, as suspected, Nam Joon and Yoongi are there, sitting around Principal Bang's desk. He sees you and beckons you in.
"Ah, Madam Min, I thought I might see you today, so I asked Master Kim and Master Min to meet me here. I was hoping to discuss everything we spoke about. Did your mother shed any more light on the situation?" he asks.
Of all the......how does he do that? I never told him I was going to speak with Amma. Standing in front of them, you recount everything that your mother told you and tie it in with what Principal Bang had previously told you as well.
Yoongi stands up in anger. "Why are we only hearing about this now? You know Ji Min has been struggling and the last episode was particularly hard to watch. I barely managed to get the concentration of the elixir right. What if it hadn't worked? Why have we been wasting time when we should be pre-empting any upcoming attacks!"
Nam Joon calms Yoongi down and guides him back into his chair. "I understand your frustration Yoongi hyung, but Principal Bang didn't have all the facts until now, and Rumi has only just learned all of this herself. Imagine how she must be feeling."
Yoongi looks at you, unsure of what to say, and then looks back to Nam Joon. "Fine, but we mustn't waste any more time. What's the plan?"
"Firstly, and most importantly, someone needs to speak to Ji Min," he replies.
"I'll do that," you volunteer quickly. "I mean, if that's ok with you. I think it would be better coming from me seeing as his mother trusted mine with her life."
"I agree," he says. "Next, we need to tell the rest of the Bangtan team. They know much less than we do and have been doing everything without question. Time is of the essence, so why don't we...." Nam Joon is interrupted by someone bursting through the office doors.
"Principal Bang! I just had a worrying vision. I saw all of us and Rumi standing ground against the malspirits in an underground location somewhere, armed and ready to fight them! Ji Min wasn't there but I got the sense he'd been taken by them." Tae Hyung says as he walks in with Seok Jin, Ho Seok and Jung Kook all in tow.
He stops in his tracks when he sees you all. "Oh, what's going on here?"
Principal Bang replies, "Well this is most fortuitous. I think now is a good time to bring them up to speed, Nam Joon?"
Each of them reacts differently to the news. Tae Hyung holds onto Jung Kook's arm who appears to be absorbing all the information and awaiting further instructions. Ho Seok nods attentively whilst Seok Jin keeps very still. Being the eldest one who has looked after the guys as brothers for much of their lives, he is thinking about his family which is about to face imminent danger.
"Nam Joon, tell us what we need to do. We'll do whatever it takes to protect Ji Min," he says.
It's so strange to see the usual smile gone from Seok Jin's face, to see Ho Seok with a frown on his face, to see Tae Hyung fidgeting with worry and Jung Kook trying to appear stoically brave although he is probably scared deep down. You suddenly feel compelled to say something, "Listen, guys, we're all in this together. I've only come into the fold recently, but I am one of you now. Whatever happens, we will handle it together. One step at a time, we will work this out. Ji Min needs us. And whatever happens, we fight together to the end. Whatever that end may be."
You look around at the reactions of everyone in the room, a bit embarassed. Nam Joon is beaming at you, and everyone, except Yoongi, is smiling.
Nam Joon is the first to speak, "Thank you Rumi, I couldn't have said it better myself. You are with us now and I feel confident we will be triumphant. I suggest we break up into smaller groups to gather some intel. Jung Kook, Yoongi hyung and I will go to the lake and find out if the situation there has changed. We will speak to our friends around there to see if they have seen anything unusual. Seok Jin hyung, Ho Seok and Tae Hyung, you go to the library. The scripture came to Rumi from there, so look around and see if there's anything else that can help us. Finally, someone will need to stay with Ji Min as much as possible. Rumi, you are already going to speak to him, so I think you should be the one to do that."
Principal Bang adds, "I will keep an eye on the situation at the Academy. We may need to send students home early for the holidays if the situation puts their lives in danger".
You all slowly disperse, ready to carry out Nam Joon's instructions. As you leave, Yoongi steps beside you and says, "Nice speech, let's hope it inspires the enormous courage and strength that will be needed when we have to eventually face Lord Luciferous."
With that, he leaves you dead in your tracks, staring after him.
