"What did she find?" Nam Joon asks.

"I don't know how, but she seems to have found some text asking for help and it appears to be linked to what's in the woods. I don't like how it got into her possession and how she's keen to interpret what it means," Yoongi replies.

"You have to both keep an eye on her and discreetly watch her movements. I don't want to involve her in this right now as it might scare her away. I brought her into the Academy at this crucial time because I know she can help us immeasurably, but she can't know about any of this just yet," explains Principal Bang.

Nam Joon and Yoongi give a quick nod in response, and then they all start to walk towards the door. Quick as a flash, you hide around the corner. Whilst they leave in the opposite direction, you stand there processing what you've just heard. Firstly, they've been keeping an eye on you. That's worrying. Secondly, they want to involve you in something that is clearly highly secretive and possibly dangerous. That's also worrying. Thirdly, something is going on with Ji Min and from the sounds of it, he's not doing well. That's three significantly worrying things that you've learned about in the last 10 minutes. You need to find a quiet place to process these new revelations, so you head back to your room, checking carefully that nobody has followed you. Locking the door, you decide to do is jot down all the 'out-of-the-ordinary' things of significance that have happened since you started at the Academy.

1. Ji Min 'disappears' once a month for a few days. Something happens to him? Unwell?

2. Mysterious note came to you in the library asking someone (me?) for help.

3. Something was found near a lake that got through a protective shield.

4. Yoongi can hear your thoughts.

5. Bangtan gang and Principal Bang all involved in some heavily guarded secret.

6. You have been recruited to help them with the above?

7. Something came through shield from another world?

8. You feel a very strong connection to Ji Min.

You decide that you need to take matters into your own hands and find out what's going on. You decide to go back to the library and see if there's any more information to be found there about this mysterious lake. Before that though, you decide to speak to Nam Joon. If the Bangtan teachers are keeping an eye on you and need your help with something, you have the right to know what it is. You leave your room, feeling the locket around your neck, and wonder where you can find him. You didn't have wonder for too long as you see him walking towards you, apparently with the intention of coming to see you himself.

"Ms Min, were you going somewhere?" he asks.

"Actually, I was coming to find you, Nam Joon," you reply, "I have to talk to you about something."

"As do I, Ms Min. Shall we go to my office? We can talk privately there," he suggests.

We walk towards the Seoul wing and climb to the top floor where his office is. It's the only room on the entire floor and every inch of each wall is lined with books from end to end. There is every type of book imaginable, neatly organised by genre and alphabetically. It could rival the secret library in the staff room. "Wow," you say, "this is quite a collection. By the way, you can just call me Rumi."

"Well Rumi, I love to read when I can and books are such rare antiquities in this day and age. They are an underrated source of knowledge and insights," he explains.

You stare at the books to buy yourself some time to muster up the courage to confront Nam Joon. Inhaling deeply, you turn towards him and say, "Nam Joon, I overheard you, Principal Bang and Yoongi talking earlier in the Gwangju wing. You need to tell me exactly what's going on, I have a right to know why you're keeping an eye on me, why Yoongi was reading my thoughts, why I was hired to teach here, and what on earth is going on with Ji Min!"

All the words come out in one go and you gasp for breath.

Sighing, Nam Joon takes off his glasses and cleans them, apparently needing time to respond. After what seemed like forever, he finally says, "This is exactly what I wanted to talk to you about, but I didn't think you'd find out anything the way you did. You are clearly feeling disturbed, possibly scared too, and for that, I am truly sorry. We should have been upfront with you from the start. I will tell you everything and exactly why we desperately need your help."
