The seventh day

"Hey Inosuke? Why do you wear that mask all the time?" You ask

"Eh? Why should I tell you?" He groans

"I'm just curious is all, you seem like an interesting person." You smile at him

"You seem like an interesting person" your words echo through his mind. The words make him smile underneath his mask.

"Hah! It's my mothers hide. She died when I was young, so I woar her hide to honor her!" He said awaiting your response.

"Your mother was a boar?" You say surprised.

"Yes."

"But you're human..!" You chuckle.

"HAH! I don't really know what happened to my, human? Mother. I just remember being raised by boars in the mountains. But who gives a damn?!Never knew her what's the point?" He laughed.

"That's sad.. you never knew your birth mom..." you mumble.

"Whatever, Oi, I think I see the stupid purple mess you talk about!" He points forward.

"The wisteria!! Inosuke we made it!!" You grab his wrists excitedly with a big smile.

"Gah.. let go.."

"Let's go! We won! Let's get our Nichirin blades!" You make a run towards the finish line, Inosuke right behind you.

You appear in front of the 2 twins. Smiles still fixated on their faces.

"Welcome, it seems you too are early, congratulations, you made it through all 7 days without fail." The twins said.

"Now that you have completed the final selection. You are assigned first, a bird, these birds are communicators, they tell you what your assigned missions are." The white haired one states.

2 birds flutter down to you and Inosuke, a dove approaches you, and a crow approaches Inosuke.

"Very well, now you must choose your ore to craft your Nichirin blade, it will be delivered to you in 10-15 days." The black haired one states.

"Damn it... takes so long..!" Inosuke whines. You shush him.

You both walk up to the ores and study them carefully. There's about 17 of them. We have to pick out of 17? Wow so many choices..

"I'm takin this one! Look (y/n) I'm taking this one!" He pulls on your kimono, sounding excited like a child showing their mother a drawing.

"Yes yes, it looks very pretty Inosuke." You grin. Inosuke huffs in satisfaction.

"I'll do this one." You say, grabbing your ore, placing it in the white haired twins hand, Inosuke does the same.

"Thank you and good luck" the twins say at the same time.

"So, where are you gonna go?" You ask Inosuke.

Where was he going to go? He still had to wait for his Nichirin sword to be crafted to fight any demons. Nowhere to go, no one to see... should he stay with you? Or should he run into the Wild, and let fate take him wherever fate chooses.

"Earth to Inosuke?" You wave a hand infront of his face, well mask in this case.

"Nnnngg... ehhhh..." he looks puzzled, still trying to decide.
"Hey come with me! We've been through so much this week, I bet my mom would love to meet you, she'd treat you with some nice food, I bet she'd especially like to thank you so saving me too, I couldn't have done it without you Inosuke!" You clasp your hands around his beaming, like a ray of sunshine.
