I wish I could be with you, but I'm too broken and I deserve him. One day you will understand, and I hope you don't hate me when you do.

Chapter 22
"Your're home." Her voice squeaked as she kept staring at the two intimidating men in her kitchen.
"Yes. I'm only staying the day I fly back out this afternoon, but I thought it would be better if I was here when you met your new bodyguards." His hands tightened on her shoulders and she tried not to wince.
"I don't understand why I need bodyguards?" She knew why, but she played it dumb to see what he knew. She still hadn't seen Landon, but his looming presence behind her was enough to scare her.
"Why doesn't matter. Now turn around a kiss me. It been months since I have seen you love." She felt Landon spin her around and his beautiful cruel face came into view. She watched as he bent his head and she kissed him so she got to get this situation over with. Kissing Landon was like kissing the devil. He was charming until he didn't want to be any more.
"Better. Now lets me introduce. The bald one is Damien, and the blonde is Aaron. They will drive you places and keep watch over you. They will stay in the pool house so don't worry if you see them walking around." Charlotte smiled at the 2 men and they both gave her a stern look.
"Miss Jones our number should be in your phone, call if you need anything." Aaron said, and she nodded her head, trying to wrap her mind around everything that was going on. She knew there was more to these bodyguards, but she didn't want to ask.
"Now Charlotte there are rules, because it seems you have been a naughty fiancée. There is a list of people who are not allowed to approach you. Oh, let me see the name Sinclair does that ring any bells sweetheart?" Landon asked her sweetly, and she was glad Landon was standing behind her because she felt all the colour drain from her face. She saw her new bodyguards watching her and she couldn't decide if they would help or just stand there and watch.
"No response, that's strange, my love. I swear, didn't you go to a wedding of a friend named Sinclair? Shame I have put them on the ban list since I heard the wedding was beautiful." Charlotte felt her body shake, and she knew Landon was smiling behind you.
"Damien, Aaron you can leave I have much catching up with my lovely fiancée." Charlotte watched as he dismissed the guards and the dread she was feeling was returning at full speed.
"Now Charlotte turn around and face me because what I am about to say I will only say once you understand me?" She nodded her head, and Landon tsked.
"Charlotte have you forgotten already I don't understand head shaking verbal responses or do I need to teach you a lesson." Charlotte went to shake her head but swallowed heavily instead.
"No Landon." She watched him smile, and she felt like she had made a deal with the devil.
"Excellent now instead of saying yes I want a I do. Might as well practise for the wedding. I would hate for you to forget your lines. Now Charlotte, do you understand me?" She wanted to bite her tongue and defy him, but the glint in his eyes told her to obey.
"I do." She tried not to cringe, but it was hard.
"Very good sweetheart, now this is how it is going to go. Your options are: I come home early from my trip or you follow and listen to those guards. That includes the special list of people who may not approach you. Understand?" Charlotte opened her mouth to say yes, but the stern look from him told her not to.
