"Mitchy? Are you ready to leave in ten?" Scott called through the house.

Mitch, who was still in the bathroom, opened the door so he didn't have to scream. "Yes. We're stopping for coffee?"

"Of course we are" Scott said as he walked upstairs. "Need help with your suitcase?"

"Would be lovely" Mitch replied. "I packed some of Avi's clothes as well, I really don't know what he took with him."

"So thoughtful." Scott smiled at his fiancé and took his suitcase. "I'll meet you in the car?"

Mitch nodded. "Jep, just need to pee real quick, then I'm ready."

Half an hour later, the two men had gotten fresh coffee and were on the road headed for their cabin. "Did Avi text again?" Scott asked after a while.

"Wait a second..." Mitch grabbed his phone and smiled. "He did. He's halfway there and just now taking a break. He thinks he'll need another 6 hours now that there's traffic."

"Good good" Scott replied. "We'll need three hours and we need to do the shopping, so we won't have to wait for too long."

"Mmhm, I hope" Mitch replied. "I really can't wait to just have him in my arms again and hold him tight..."

Scott smiled. "Me neither... and skinny dipping and good food..."

Almost four hours later the two men arrived at the cabin with a trunk full of food and drinks to last them for at least five days. They brought everything inside and unpacked, set up their bedroom and only then sat down on the porch with a cup of coffee each.

With each sound that came from the woods, they looked up, excited to finally see their fiancé. But it was false alarm each time.

"He's probably stuck in traffic" Scott mused as he got refills of coffee.

"Mmhm..." Mitch hummed. "I just hope that nothing has happened to him... I mean we don't have any phone reception here..."

"Mitchy, he is only planning to arrive in fifteen minutes. We can start worrying if he isn't here in an hour, alright?" Scott explained. "Don't be scared, okay?" He softly kissed his fiancé's cheek.

Mitch sighed. "Okay.."

Avi smiled to himself. He was right on time. Traffic had been a little bit better than he had anticipated and he would be arriving right on time. Even if he was excited to be with his fiancés again, he stopped at the store to buy a few things.

With two bouquets of flowers and a bag full of other goods he went back to the car and drove the last bit until he reached the cabin. There was a surge of anxiety within him when he saw Scott's car standing in the driveway, but mostly he was excited and happy to be with them again.

He parked the car and saw his fiancés sitting on the patio, both looking and then jumping up when they noticed him.

"Avi!" Mitch called over to him. "Finally."

Avi shook his head, a fond smile on his face as Mitch came running towards the car. He was quick to get out and opened his arms, hugging his fiancé tight. "Hello, Mitchy" he whispered.

"So good to have you back" Mitch said. He sighed softly and didn't want to let go of Avi at all.

Avi just held him tightly, tears welling up in his eyes. "Thank you for accepting me. For letting me come back..."

Scott had joined them and hugged Avi from behind, because it didn't seen like Mitch would be letting go soon. "No need to thank us, Love. We're glad that you're with us again." He pressed a soft kiss onto Avi's neck and just held him, glad to feel his body against his own.

"That's true, Avi. We love you and we told you that we'd be happy to have you back home. You're always welcome with us, no matter what" Mitch said softly when he realised that the bearded man was sobbing softly.

"We love you, Avi" Scott added. "No matter what. You didn't leave because of us, you left because there was something that is completely out of our hands. It's okay... calm down, you're safe with us."

"I..." Avi sad when his sobs had turned into sniffles. "Home... I feel at home with you... thank you. I thought running away, being alone would help me when all I needed was you... home..."

Mitch laid a hand onto Avi's cheek and got their eyes to meet. "And you're back now. Back home..."

"Mmhm..." Avi hummed.

"Shall we get you inside? You're probably exhausted after the long drive" Scott offered.

Avi shrugged his shoulders. "I'd rather take a walk, to be honest. Need to stretch my muscles a little bit. But yes, going inside first sounds good..." His boyfriends let go of him. Scott took his suitcase and Mitch his jacket so Avi waited a moment and followed them with the flowers.

Once they were all inside the cabin, he cleared his throat. "Here... these are for you, just a little... errm... thing to show you how glad I am to have you..."

"Awww, Avi... you didn't need to" Scott said, smiling brightly as he took his bouquet.

"But flowers are always nice" Mitch added. "Thank you. We'll put them in vases and you go fresh up for our little walk?"

Avi nodded. "Sure" he said and went upstairs, taking his suitcase with him.

Twenty minutes later, the triad was outside, walking into the woods. They were holding hands, Mitch on Avi's right side and Scott on his left, just as if they were scared that he would leave them again. Neither of them talked, the silence was comfortable.

"I'm so sorry" Mitch said after a while. "I read some of the articles after we talked and... it's just atrocious to think about what they wrote about us, mainly about you. I just didn't expect that it would get to you that bad, I really thought that you were handling everything. And you tried communicating several times, but I just didn't listen and I am so sorry..."

Avi sighed. "I tried communicating once or twice, but I also decided that I would try to manage on my own. I should have talked more, I should have called someone that night instead of just leaving and I am sorry for that."

"I am sorry, too... I feel like we all realised where we might have made mistakes or miscommunicated. And we're yet again learning from this situation... which is, for me the most important thing..." Scott explained. "Just... if you ever feel like you need to get out for a while... we won't ever object, but let us know where you're going, deal?"

Avi smiled slightly. "Yes, deal." He breathed in deeply, smelling the comfortable scent of the forest and feeling his fiancés by his side.

Mitch noticed this and smiled. "How are you feeling right now" he asked with a soft voice.

Avi turned to the smaller man and smiled brightly. "Content."
