James’ POV

I lost it. The new kid got the best of me and annoyed me to the point of smacking him. He’s only been here for a week yet he has all the evidence he needs, bared on his face, to run straight to the officials. I paced angrily around the bus after everyone had left for the day and smashed my fist into various objects out of frustration the more I thought about him.

There was a knock on the door that made me jump, I wasn’t expecting anyone...

When I opened the door I looked out but only found empty lot in front of me. I sighed, shaking my head and began to shut the door again but then I glanced at the ground, something orange caught my attention. I opened the door again and walked down the steps retrieving the orange envelope that had been strategically placed before the door.  I retreated back behind closed doors before I dared to open it and read its contents.

I yelled out in anger and threw the papers at the table and sat down on the couch, holding my head in my hands.

I’m going down and there isn’t anything I can do about it!

Dyvia showed back up almost an hour later and knew something was seriously wrong by her first glance at me.

“Guess what I have tomorrow?” I said bitterly. She didn’t reply but her eyes sent the question marks that beckoned me to go on. “A court date. That guy pissed me off and I couldn’t hold myself back before I had already hit him and now he has gone back to the officials.” She tilted her head, looking at me with genuine worry. I knew she was playing me and trying to manipulate me for the cure but this new friendship thats been blossoming lately isn’t as fake as we were saying it was.

“At these trials... do they have a jury?” I wasn’t sure what she was getting at but answered anyways.

   “Yeah...”

“Well in all court dates in order for the criminal to be sentenced they must first prove to and convince the jury that he is guilty so what evidence would they have if there only witness and only evidence didn’t show up?” She said, looking a little proud of herself. I smiled finally catching her drift.

“I can’t believe you were the one to come up with it but your right! The dark side is doing wonders for you honey.” I winked at her suddenly feeling like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. She rolled her eyes, as to be expected, but seemed genuinely happy to be doing this, maybe she does have a little dark side that I’m uncovering? “First off, I wanna know why your so ready to help with such an evil plan? The cure cant be your only reason.”

“Well... lets just say he did something to piss me off and I want a little pay back, okay?” I nodded, not caring for the details because revenge was the bet motivator a person could have.

“The trial is in a couple hours. I can track him down and right before he goes we can drug him or something then hide the body so no one will find him. He’ll live but miss the trial and therefore giving the officials no evidence in which to convict me.”

“Alright, do you have the stuff already?”

“Yeah, follow me.” I told her motioning for her to follow me as I made my way back to my suit case. I had her turn around while I opened the secret compartment and pulled out a vial of sleeping drugs and one of poison, for just in case.

“You can turn around again.” She did, “The blue one is a sleeping drug, it will knock him out for five hours. The green one, is just incase something should go wrong. Do not use it unless it is to protect yourself because the green one will kill.” I warned, talking slowing, making sure everything I said sunk in. “I don’t know how you plan to get him to drink this but if he finds out your plan he might try to strike back and thats when you use the green. It only kills if he drinks it but if he is coming after you, throw it on him and it’ll burn him so bad he’ll probably pass out from the pain.” She nodded then looked at me strangely.
