Sorry I haven't been updating but I've had monster writer's block when it comes to this story (as you will see in how vivid this chapter is) Just as I think I've finally found a new direction for the story I forget it before I can write it down so yes the next couple updates will also be coming painfully slow. Once again, I'm very sorry but things are the way they are and I cant help it.
“What do you mean you lost it?” James growled, staring down at me in disbelief.
“It was in my pocket last night but when I woke up it was gone!” I exclaimed feeling frustrated and upset. When I had returned to the Despite Midnight bus this morning the first thing he did was demand back that death potion vial but when I checked my pockets it was no where to be found.
“That means someone on that bus has it now!” He said spinning around and angrily slamming his fist into a cabinet, splinters flew everywhere as it’s door busted in half. I cringed, expecting that hit to come to me but his relocation of his anger surprised me.
“Or maybe I dropped it, we don’t know what happened!”
“Who was on that bus last night? I want a list!” He said quickly, turning to face me again.
“Daniel, Lizz, Blaze, J2, R E M, Demon, and.... Rem” I said the last name slowly and at the same moment we both knew who took it.
“Stay away from Rem.” James warned, “I know you two were all buddy, buddy and close before but he is dangerously unstable now, who knows what he may do, anyone is a target now.”
“Hmm I wonder who caused that?” I said sarcastically, with a slight glare at James who looked around at the roof, trying to appear innocent. I sighed, “So what do we do now? He is the only one on that bus with an agenda that a death potion could help, he obviously took it but what do I do, ask for it back?”
“No! I taught you better then that! Don’t be so stupid!” He exclaimed, looking at me like a master would when having discontent for his student. “Wait it out, watch him, try to figure out what he is planning. Especially if that plan is coming for me.” I rolled my eyes,
“Great to see your still so supercilious..” I grumbled. “I gotta go help out with merch.” I said turning to leave.
“No I need you for something today, walk with me for a minute.” He said following me out of the bus.
The gates of the festival were still closed and it was breakfast time so the place was a ghost town with the exception of a few. We slowly strolled in through the back gates, walking in silence at first before he spoke.
“After learning what we did this morning I want you to watch Rem. Become a friend again but maintain enough distance that you wont get hurt.” He explained, it was starting to sound to me like I had run off and joined the army and now I was taking missions and commands from my General. I nodded,
“I understand you want me to keep an eye on him but what about merch?”
“I’ll get someone else to replace you.” He said nonchalantly.
“Please don’t kidnap anyone for it, find someone already on our crew.” I asked, “I know you don’t care much about humans but I do and if you want me to do this I don’t want anyone else going through the same shit I did.. No one deserves that.” I told him forcefully but mumbling the last part to myself.
“You have my word.” He said, placing a hand over his heart and giving a slight bow. I giggled a little to myself, after all this time I still didn’t understand vampires’s strange ways that much. “I’m sorry.” Suddenly I stopped and looked up at him in shock.
