I saw Thanatos rummaging through the papers. Nakatayo ito na parang kakarating lang sa sariling office niya. Para bang gusto murahin lahat sa paligid niya.

"Sungit!" I called him.

Umangat ang ulo niya, his eyes lit up.

He was angry that he couldn't be with me on my first appointment. He had to please some of Herreras' clients to gather information. It was a one-time thing, and he couldn't pass the opportunity. I told him I'll go alone.

Nang makarating ako sa OB, nilagyan ako ng gel sa tiyan upang makita ang baby sa tiyan. My heart melted. I saw a little peanut. Sayang at wala si Thanatos. The OB said the baby is healthy and adviced that I needed more vitamins especially with my kind of work.

"How's the baby?" unang tanong niya at mabilis na lumapit sa'kin.

"The baby's healthy." I gave him a genuine smile.

He cursed at how happy I am. "I should've gone with you."

"No, it's work, Thanatos. I understand." Hinaplos ko ang braso niya, to tell him it's okay. "How's the deal?"

He smiled, pero di umakyat sa mata niya. "I got them all. The Herreras won't turn to anyone now." he said. Mariela was part of Ardous Holdings' clients. So we already got them on the neck, but they don't know it.

I smiled professionally. "All for the island."

His shook his head and remained emotionless.

"Let's go home and celebrate." He kissed my hand. That kiss made me think he feels regretful about a lot of things.

Nasa penthouse niya kami. Talagang nabenta na 'yung apartment ko. I asked him paano kung tapos na ang lahat ng ito, saan ako titira? Alangan naman bahayin niya 'ko. He ignored me, though. Saka ko na nga lang tanungin.

He was topless, and he was cooking our dinner. Mas masarap kasi siyang magluto. Papano 'yung mga alam ko, prito prito lang. Wala siyang in-house maid dito. For privacy daw. May helpers na rotation ang pagdating para maglinis at maglaba. Kaya taga-hugas na lang ako ng pinggan dito.

I was staring at his back shoulders habang nakadantay sa kamay ko. How did I get so lucky?

I'm really hungry tho. The baby wants the food. I don't really like beef before, pero yun ang request ng bata sa loob ng tyan ko. Thanatos is preparing a steak.

Hanggang ngayon di ko siya matawag na 'hon'. Di ko kasi alam kung nagbibiro lang ba siya.

Once he's done, I munched on my food. Satisfied naman si baby! Lately, mas umaarte na ako sa pagkain. Mas preferred ko na sa mamahalin ngayon. Medyo pricy, pero hayaan na para sa cravings. Nagpapa-order ako lagi sa restaurant ni Zandro.

Habang nakain kami, I asked him. "Paano kung hindi ka CEO today, ano kayang profession mo?"

His eyes looked up. Napaisip din ito. "I'd probably be an engineer. 'Cause I'm good at math."

"Why didn't you? You could be an engineer and a CEO at the same time." sabi ko at dumighay. "Sorry." I said as respect at nagpatuloy pa ako sa pagkain.
