Ch 13: Leaving ToxTree Acres

~Katie's POV~
Is the red test done?! I've been worried enough. I mean seriously, who does this kind of stuff. I think you know. "Shut up self conscious." I growled. Everyone in the group stared at me weirdly before continuing on. What did my self conscious say? I know?

~Flashback~
I saw a way younger me reading a book called The Storm of Crockus.
A long time ago, happiness and peace could be seen throughout all lands. But in one small home, an evil man was practicing dark magic. When he mastered it, he raised an army of dead people to fight off the happiness and peace. Chaos fell throughout the lands and people fell to the dark side. The man, Crockus, befriended a young boy with the name of Storm. When Storm grew, Crockus and Storm worked together with their army. They were the best of friends and Storm lightened Crockus's dark heart a bit. That is...until the light defeated and killed Storm, Crockus grew hatred in his heart and he went of in battle with the light. Before the light could find Crockus, he had to face many tests, we believe, he had to face 3 different types of tests. While the light was facing the tests, Crockus brought Storm back with his magic, so they could fight together. In the end, the light won and Storm and Crockus fell. But the light didn't kill them, he preserved them in a small dime filled with lava. They were sleeping their ever since, but they will soon awaken and chaos will once again rule the world. It was prophecied that 6 'dragons' would be borne into the world and they would defeat them both. They will face many tests and sadnesses, but in the end, they would defeat them.

~Back to regular time~
The tests were done. In the story, the light passed 3 tests and we also passed 3 tests. That means we were able to leave...but one thing was unclear. Where were all the bandits that Starla told me of? Was she lying to me? No, she couldn't...she was my mother. Wait!? Where did that come from? From me. The person inside you. Who are you? I'm Cassidy, their deceased child. Ace and Starla. They both fell into darkness somewhere before you came. They acted like they were your friends, but in the end they betrayed you. Open their hearts to light, you can do it. And the book you read. I'm the light. Your me. I was confused...Ace and Starla betrayed us. And Cassidy...she's me, the light. The light dead at the end of time...that's us. We were going to die. But I was ready, I will wait for my death, but I won't tell anyone. "Katie..you coming?" I looked up and noticed Jill was staring at me worriedly, I nodded and we left. When we finally found the train, we boarded and left ToxTree.
