Ch 1: The Last One

Hi guys! This is the first book of the series, so don't worry about needing to read another book, so you know the characters. I am featuring my cousins and one of my friends in this book, but I changed their names, you might recognize the name though. -C

~Katie's POV

"Eh Lassie? Ye here for a cab or boat ride?"

I pondered for a moment and responded quietly. "A-a cab ride cap'n."

He nodded and opened the door for me, I climbed in and we left CocoTree Town.

"So lassie, where ya headed?"

"To OrangeField Meadows."

"Aye, where are ya folks? Went to OrangeFiel' first eh?" He asked me.

I shook my head. I was finally old enough to leave home and live off on my own. They told me to go to OrangeField, since that was the most peaceful place in Tarpa. Tarpa was where my real family was born, the country has been alive for centuries. My real family even knew the first empress and emperor of Tarpa. Sir Carlos and Madam Cassa Tarpa. I still used my real family's last name for I still don't think I belong with my parents right now.

"Lassie, you daydreaming already?" He chuckled. "Eh, forgot to ask...what is your name?"

"Katie Rosen cap'n"

"Aah, you are from the Rosen gang eh? I hear they knew the Tarpas." I smiled and nodded, who knew my family name was this popular.

"Well lassie, it was nice talkin to ya, but, we are in OrangeFiel'."

I gasped, the place was beautiful. Orange trees decorated the side walk and benches were all filled with people. Up ahead, you could see many hotels and resorts.

"Well lassie, since ya are part of the Rosen Gang, no need ter pay." I thanked him and he sped off.

I wondered where Aqua Dragon Hotel was. I started walking towards the direction of the hotels, but not one of them was Aqua Dragon Hotel. There was the Jiggly Doodills Resort, Treasure Hotel, Owned Mockery Resort/Spa. I sighed. "I'm never going to find the Aqua Dragon Hotel" I exclaimed.

"Uh ma'am, the Aqua Dragon Hotel is on the other side of the road." A girl next to me said.

I blushed with embarrassment and walked to the hotel.

"Welcome to Aqua Dragon! I am Arin Flamings at your service. And what is your name fine miss?" A perky girl with fire red hair told me.

"Um, Katie Rosen."

"Alright come this way! I see you made a reservation for...PENTHOUSE 2A!!! ELLA COME HERE RIGHT NOW!" She yelled.

A girl with dark blue hair came running down. "What do you want now Arin?" She asked.

"WELL IT SAYS HERE THAT PENTHOUSE 2A IS TAKEN, I WANTED THAT PENTHOUSE!" Arin yelled.

"Arin, there are other penthouses, maybe you can get 5C the one you wanted back tomorrow." Ella told Arin.

Arin huffed, but in the end agreed. "Right this way Ms. Katie Rosen." Arin growled.

I hesitantly followed her scared that she would lash out at me. We went up the elevator and into my penthouse. "If you need any assistance, work it out yourself." Arin told me.

I nodded thinking that maybe I can call that girl with blue hair. With that Arin left me alone in the penthouse. I gulped, this was a lot bigger than I imagined.

"Arin, don't yell at our guest and last member." I scolded.

"Sorry master, I was...carried away." Arin whispered.
