░▒▓█▓▒░ It's been a week since Skylar and Ryan left and Awsten feels absolutely horrible. He misses everything about the relationship. It feels like he's missing part of himself now. His apartment feels a lot more empty, the memory of his last night with Skylar on a constant repeat. It all feels so still and empty, his only company being all the things that weren't said. The words hang in the air, leaving him to breathe in the sting he thought he'd avoided by leaving the words unsaid to begin with. He can't help but wonder if it would hurt less if he didn't stop her from telling him she loves him, or if he'd said it to her. Maybe hearing it one last time would have made it easier to let go. Maybe saying goodbye would have made it easier to really process the fact that he's alone now in a worse way than he ever was before. It's odd, trying to go back to the way things were before he knew what it was like to fall for someone the way he did. He can't quite figure out how he's supposed to spend his weekends now that Skylar and Ryan aren't around to go to the park with. So, he stays home. He stays in bed regretting all the things that never happened and all the words they didn't say. His friends have all been over, trying to pull him out of his head. He's been dragged out of the apartment a few times by the group and tried to have fun, or at least pretend he was enjoying himself for their sakes, but he couldn't quite manage. He'd much rather just stay home and be miserable alone. Unfortunately, his friends are far too good to let that happen, as made evident by Geoff showing up uninvited and not even bothering to knock before coming in. To be fair, Awsten was the one to give Geoff the one spare key he has. Knowing Geoff, he should've known it would be used against him like this. "Take a shower. Get dressed," Geoff instructs, "you're not staying here all day again." "I—" "Don't argue with me." ░▒▓█▓▒░
