26 — GOD'S PLAN
it's like a plot twist inside a plot twist inside another plot twist.

kang minhee struggles to wiggle himself out of the small space, his dilating pupils hardly seen as his eyes flutter tremendously.
"what in the world are you doing here?" junho asks him, noticeable calculated anger spewing within his voice.
minhee quickly stands up. "uh.. uh... i..."
"kang minhee," jaemin's voice is low and tantalizing, as if he's posing himself as a threat. "i think i've gave you enough time for your own conversation."
"y-yes, but i wanted to see you again—"
"well don't you see that i'm busy?" he cuts off shortly. "i'm talking with junho-ssi here, he also deserves a time for himself. your presence here shows that you have made yourself an intruder, you know that?"
minhee blinks continuously. "i'm sorry, i didn't mean to—"
"not only you have just intruded junho-ssi's privacy, you have also intruded mine." jaemin taunts him endlessly. "don't you realize your mistake here? fearing the worst, i'm afraid that you've also eavesdropped our conversation, have you?"
minhee shakes his head. "no, i didn't!"
"hence, those compliments must've had gotten through your head, and now you're just full of yourself." jaemin spits out bitterly, not even giving junho a single moment to speak for himself. "why are you here, minhee-ssi? you're scared that junho-ssi and i are planning something against you? how foolish."
minhee is out of words. "i... i.."
"i'm really, really disappointed of you, kang minhee." jaemin leaves him shaken with the last straw. "it doesn't matter whether who wins this later on, what you've done here disappointed me, and i couldn't expect myself to forgive you otherwise. know this that the most important things to me are transparency and trust. if you keep doing this, how am i going to trust you?"
minhee stares at the ground, 'contemplating' his decisions. junho slowly turns to jaemin. "it's okay, jaemin-ssi, i'm sure minhee means no harm. there's no need for you to scold him like that."
though what he said meant that he was supporting the latter, the satisfied look on his face radiates something different. he's amused by jaemin's complete distrust, and he loves seeing minhee standing right in front of him like an immature fool he really is.
unable to hide his real feelings, a small smile appears in junho's face.
jaemin throws minhee a last dirty look before glancing back at junho. "we're done here, right? even if we're not, i'm not interested of continuing anyway. i'm late for my next meeting. now if you could excuse me,"
jaemin grabs his things and makes his leave, purposefully bumping at minhee as he did so. as dramatic as he is, the strong force really did hurt minhee's shoulder. he winces.
junho grins. "before making important decisions for the school, you should try refraining from making rash decisions for yourself. stupidity is a great look on you, minhee-yah, i suggest you keep it until the end of the election."
mad and also flustered, minhee spins around and also leaves the room, going to the same direction as jaemin's.
the second jaemin leaves the room, he sprints himself towards the empty corridor and takes a deep breath.
after that he bursts laughing into tears.
it was the result of him keeping himself altogether when he was 'scolding' kang minhee, and if he were to stay in that place for any longer he would've blown the whole thing already. he grabs his phone and immediately taps at eunsang's chatroom. "i did great, right? come on, talk about how cool i was!"
