When the walls come down

Chapter 14

"What would you like to eat"? Kim asked Alix.

She thought for a second. "Pancakes" she finally answered.

"Coming right up, Princess" he winked and got to work. She watched him make the pancakes.

"When did you learn to bake/cook"? she asked.

"I taught myself when my mother left, I sometimes make things for my father but not regularly" He answered.

"Oh I understand, I taught myself to cook basic things after my mother died, for the times that my dad is working late" she sighed.

And right then they found another thing they had in common.

"Breakfast is served" Kim said and handed her pancakes. She immediately started eating them.

"Are you in a rush"? Kim asked and sat beside her.

"Duh I want to get out of the house" she said. He laughed at her and ate his own breakfast.

After that, Alix quickly got changed and brushed her hair. She stopped and looked in the mirror.

She didn't usually brush her hair, but she thought it looked nice. She put it in its usual hairstyle then she put her hat on.

Alix walked out to the living room where Kim was waiting.

She threw his sweatshirt at him and it hit his head causing him to look at her.

"You're not limping very much today" he noticed.

"Yeah, my ankle feels better but I took some pain medicine to help it" She said.

They left their bags by the front door because they planned on coming back for them before the sleepover.

"So where should we go"? Alix asked.

"Well you wanted ice cream so I searched up where Andre parked his cart" Kim showed her the location.

"In the park near Marinettes house" she smiled. "I'm glad it's not far".

"I would ask you to race but you injured" he frowned.

"Awe dont worry, I'll get better soon then you can race me" she teased.

He reached over and held her hand causing Alix to blush. They got to the park and André noticed them right away.

"Aw the athletic lovebirds finally got together" he cooed. "I've been waiting because I have the perfect combination for you two".

They smiled at each other before André spoke again.

"Cookies and cream for his eyes and raspberry for her hair" he handed them their ice cream.

"Thanks André" Alix said. They walked away and sat on one of the benches.

Alix scanned the park, clearly searching for something.

"What are you looking for"? Kim asked.

"Alya, that girl is obsessed" she answered.

"Come on I'm sure its fine" he said and put his arm around her.

"You're right I should just enjoy my icecream with my idiot" she smiled.

He blushed and continued to share the icecream.

"Alya, what are you doing up here" Marinette called and joined Alya on her balcony.

"It's happening" she squealed.

"What is"? Marinette asked. Alya handed her the binoculars she had and pointed towards the park.

Marinette looked into the binoculars and saw Kim and Alix sharing an icecream.

"Omg"! she screamed. "Klix is happening"! They went inside so that no one would here them fangirling really loud.

*Back to Alix and Kim*

"Where should we go now, we still have" Kim checked his phone "2 and a half hours to kill before the sleepover at 5".

"Um could we visit the Trocadero"? Alix asked.

"Sure why not" Kim shrugged and they walked all the way to the place where Alix first got akumatized.

"I can't believe I got akumatized 5 months ago" she sighed. "And on my birthday of all days".

"That wasn't your fault" Kim took her hand. "If anything it was my fault" he laughed.

"Yeah if it weren't for you, I would've had a normal birthday" she laughed.

"Do you remember what happened after you were transformed back"? he smiled.

"Yeah after that you and Max took me to the arcade to cheer me up" she smiled.

"So it wasnt a completely horrible birthday" he said.

She hugged him. "I guess it wasnt".

"Come on we have one more stop" he said and took her hand.

"Where are we going"? Alix asked.

"You'll see" he winked.

They arrived at the Pont des arts, where Kim had been akumatized.

"What are we doing here"? Alix asked and admired all the locks.

"I wish we had a lock" she thought.

"I didnt want you to be the only one returning to where they were akumatized" he sat down on a bench.

"This is where Chloe rejected me on Valentine's day" he sighed. "After that I got akumatized into Dark cupid and apparently destroyed love in paris".

"I know, I was here when you got transformed" she placed her hand on his shoulder.

"You were"? He looked at her.

She nodded. "I saw Chloe leave and almost chased her down, until you got akumatized in front of me" she explained.

"What happened"? Kim asked.

Alix paused.

"I don't want you to remember, it's a burden" she said.

"Please I need to know what I did" he pleaded. She sighed and tried to recall what he did.
