The Bad Roommate

I was on my way to class with Cat when we saw Beck and Robbie on the stairs. We both decided to take a detour to talk to them.

"Hey, boys," I got on my tip-toes to kiss Beck's cheek, "What's up?"

"Hi!" Cat smiled.

They ignored us and continued talking about something on Robbie's PearPad. What's new this time? Apparently, whatever it was, it was blowing Beck's mind. Hmm.

"HII!" Cat and I yelled, getting their attention.

"Hi, Cat," Robbie smiled.

"Hey, sweetheart," Beck pecked my lips. I was no longer in the mood to be sappy. He looked at my sister, "Hi."

"What are you guys looking at?" Cat asked.

"I wanna see," I stuck my bottom lip out. Being shorter than them sucked.

Robbie moved it down just enough for Cat to see. Biased gank. "PearMaps updated their app. Now you can look at any place in the whole world."

"In super high revenue," Beck finished. What the hell does that mean?

Cat yelled, "No way—I don't get it."

"Me either," I shrugged, wrapping an arm around Beck's waist.

"Show them," Beck instructed.

Robbie moved the PearPad in between us so I could finally see, "See, here's an overhead shot of our school."

"Wow cool!" Cat exclaimed.

"And now I'll just zoom in," Robbie zoomed in.

Cat screamed, "I'm falling."

"Is that—" I started to ask, but was cut off.

"Are you guys looking at the new PearMaps app?" Jade asked, walking down the stairs towards us.

"Yeah," Robbie smiled, "Now you can zoom in from any angle.

"Oh my god!" Cat exclaimed, "That's where we eat lunch!"

"Yeah, the PearMaps satellite must have taken this shot a few months ago."

"From space," Beck pointed up.

"A few months?" I gasped, "That's a long time ago. Why did they just update it?" I got no answer.

Cat looked up at the sky, "HIII!"

"Cat, we're inside," Jade pointed out.

Beck pointed at the map, "Hey, is that us?"

Cat and I gasped.

"Oh my gosh that is us," Robbie smiled.

"Oh yeah," Jade barely cracked a smile, but it was there, "I'm wearing my red boots."

"Uh, can you zoom in tighter on Jade?" Beck asked.

I looked up, confused, "Why Jade?"

"You'll see," he nodded.

"I think," Robbie zoomed in some more, "A zoom a zoom zoom." We saw Jade sitting alone at one of the tables. She was picking her nose!

"Um," Beck pulled me and him and step back from her. I grabbed his coffee out of his hand and took a sip. Then I gave it back.

Jade gasped, "NO! Okay, no! I am not—"

"Picking your nose," Cat finished. I laughed. Jade was gonna be so mad at her for so long just for that.
