I waited down the stairs talking to my best friend's parents. Today was junior prom, it's always near Christmas time, and since my best friend y/n and I didn't have dates we decided to go with each other, so now I'm just waiting for her to come down.
I checked my phone and saw we were already twenty minutes late, and the group chat of the boys was blowing up asking where we were. I texted a quick "on our way" even though we were far from it
Then her mother started to awe, I looked up seeing she was already walking down. My mouth dropped she looked stunning
She wore a white velvet long dress which had a slit through her right leg she wore a gold necklace with matching earrings accompanied by the promise ring I gave her for Christmas.
She smiled at me throwing me a piece sign which made me crack a laugh
Taking her hand I put on her corsage and
Bowed down
"Ew tia stop being extra" she laughed
I chuckled and looked at the time showing her.
Her face frowned she kissed her mom and
Dad saying we were already late
I had said my goodbyes too but her mother
Stopped us for pictures
"Mommmm were late"
"Just one please"
I laughed while she groaned
She kept mumbling things but I would just pat her head
"There there" I smiled
"Oh shut up tia" she giggled

"Okay kiss her forehead mattia"
"mom were lateeeeeee"
by this time we were an hour late
"okay fine this is the last one"

and she took the picture on awe afterwards
"this one's my favorite" her mom smiled
"okay that's great mom but we have to go"
"okay okay, have fun"
"not to much."her father said in all seriousness, but then all her parents could see were our backs as we crackheadly saddled our way to the car

while on the car we were listening to some music and my fingers would bounce up and
down the steering wheel
"awe isn't it cute "
"hmm?" I asked
" the picture isnt itcute?"
she showed me and my face felt hot it was a cute picture
"imma post it" she smiled

"no texting and driving tia"
I laughed putting my phone down
I finally saw the high school and tried finding a parking spot
"aye can you text the boys and tell em to come outside for us"
"yessiiirrr"
I finally found a parking spot and got out of the car waiting for y/n
she popped out of no where and startled me making us both laugh
we started to walk to the entrance when I got a call from my dad
"hello?"
"hey tia just wanted to say have fun bud, um what u wearing?"
"uh well you saw what I was wearing dad"
"yes tia I know but are you matching with your date what's she wearing?"
"white long dress dad yes we are matching, where's mom?"
"she's right here crying that you aren't a small boy anymore, she wanted me to ask you what y/n was wearing because she can't cause she's whining"
I laughed and y/n smiled
"well tell mom I'm still her babyboy dad-"
I saw alejandro waving at us so I had to make my goodbyes
"- okay dad I have to go but love you and tell mom I love her too"
"i will son have fun"
I smile and hang up
and looked at y/n
" i loveee your family I swear"
I nodded my head and we finally caught up to the boys and their dates"
"finallyyy"
"oh shut up were here now" y/n laughed
we all decided to go inside and just party it was a blast
we danced all night
and we laughed too
until y/n stopped saying she was gonna head to the bathroom I replied with an okay and waited for her she took awhile till I walked over to the bathrooms where she was talking to her friends she saw me and walked towards me
"hey is it okay if I catch a ride back with them I know your staying at Kairi's"
"yeah sure that's fine just make sure to tell your mother
"i will I will"
"you leaving right now?"
"no not right now but soon I'll see you Monday right tia?"
"yess of course you will"
she smiled "okay okay" she missed my cheek
"thanks for the wonderful night mattia I'm so glad your my bestfriend"
and she walked away with her friends

"damn that had to hurt"
I turn around seeing the boys
"shut up alvaro"
Kairi was laughing his ass off while alejandro couldn't kick that stupid smile off his face
"your dates leave too?"
"yeah just right now but you still down to stay for a bit?"

so we did and partied more till we couldn't
I texted y/n if she got home safe but she didn't answer it was 3:30 am so I understood why she didn't
as soon as we got to Kairi's I passed out of his bed

when I woke up my phone was dead so I tried to charge it before I got back home
I hung out with the guys till 1:25 pm and decided I had to go home
when I went to pick up my phone from the floor i found out it hardly charged and was at 7 percent
"you've got to be kidding me"
I groaned and said my goodbyes to the boys and hopping into my car
when I got home I saw my mom and dad watching tv, i smiled saying hello and left upstairs to plug in my phone
in that time I talked to my parents about the night and the morning after, I soon grew tired so I took a short nap on the couch
and ended up sleeping for 4 hours it had become 10 pm.
I had dinner and a light snack and watched Netflix forgetting about my phone
it was about 12 am when my mom sent me to bed to sleep yet something kept me up I felt uneasy and nervous I just washed my face and laid down again eventually long asleep

The morning after I grabbed my clothes and got ready also grabbing my phone I looked at my notifications seeing a shit ton of missed calls from alejandro, Kairi, alvaro, roshaun, and even Mrs. and Mr. y/l/n i was highly confused so I walked downstairs
I saw the most recent text from alvaro and read it
"The news, turn it on"
"What...The...Fuck"
I turn on the channel my mom and dad wondering what I'm doing
"mattia you have to get to school"
but the news is what grabbed my attention not my mom

"attention: an amber alert went out around Sunday morning reporting a missing person, female around 120 pounds brown hair responds to the name of y/n y/l/n-"

There she was..her face on the news
"missing?"
"oh baby"
my mom came hugging me while my dad watched the school
I cried
and I cried

"i know her mom! y/n will come back she probably got in a fight with her parents!or she had an unexpected sleepover I know mom I know!
