A New Chapter

Chapter 17

Previously-

Unable to respond properly, Sonia swiftly grabbed hold of Eddie's arm and began dragging him upstairs towards the bathroom. A soon perfect day was about to turn into one of Eddie's worst.

Chapter 17-

"Mummy you're hurting my arm." Eddie cried, however his mother was in no shape to respond, her head was fixated on the bathroom door and she did not hesitate when hearing the boy's cries. "Mummy!"

"Eddie i am doing this for your own good, i'm not having that boy make you sick!" Sonia snapped, now slamming the bathroom door behind her and turning to face the boy. "Now take your clothes off."

"What?" Eddie uttered, watching his mother turn the cold tap on in the bath and slowly begin to fill it.

"Eddie, do i need to repeat myself." She snapped back, Eddie knew he couldn't push her anymore and began to take his shirt and shorts off. "Boxers too Eddie Bear, i won't look but do it. It's for your own good."

Taking his clothes off and sobbing quietly in the corner of the bathroom Sonia simply pointed to the bathtub, keeping her word and not glancing once at Eddie. Edging towards the bathtub Eddie dipped his toe into it, gasping at the shiver it sent up his leg.

"Mummy i can't, i'll get sick." Eddie wailed, stepping his foot back on the floor making Sonia spin her head around and hit Eddie across the face. Leaving the boy in shock, yes his mother was manipulative and harsh but not once had she ever physically hurt him. It too left Sonia in shock of her own actions, but not for long as she began pushing Eddie in the direction of the bath.

"It's for your own good. It will help cure you Eddie." Sonia persisted, as Eddie now had both legs in the bath and began to lower his body into the water. His teeth were already chattering and his lips began to turn slightly blue, goosebumps formed all over his body. "Now, i want you to put your head under the bath and tell yourself you're not sick!"

"O...Okay mu...mmy." Eddie sobbed, slowly dunking his head into the bath now fully submerged in the stone cold water. He felt utterly useless, unable to fight against his mother and unable to get Richie out of his head. His comfort was all he yearned for at this moment, which only made the whole situation even more conflicting. "C...can i g..et out n..now p..please."

"Not yet, not until i say so." Sonia hissed, now sitting next to Eddie on the floor. "Don't worry Eddie Bear, i will help you. I will help you." Sonia began to chant softly, rubbing the boys head. "You will have a bath like this every night until you get better and i will call a special doctor to come over as soon as possible to help you."

"O...okay m..mummy." Eddie uttered, now his lips had turned a dark shade of blue and his feet and hands had become completely numb from the cold. "I'm s..sorry."

"It's okay Eddie, it's not your fault. It's them dirty friends of yours." Sonia snapped, her hand slightly clenching Eddie's hair when she spoke of his friends. "Come on, you can get out now. It's time for bed. You're not going to school tomorrow, i want you to stay here with me."

"Bu..t mummy."

"No, no buts!" Sonia snapped, giving Eddie a towel as he slowly stepped out of the bath. "I will call the doctor's tonight and see if they can come over tomorrow evening." With that Sonia left the bathroom, leaving Eddie freezing cold and crying. His whole body had turned bright red, except his lips and cheek which was now forming a small bruise form where his mother had hit him.
