Chapter 14

Previously-

"Shutup Richie." Bev heaved, slapping Richie's side giggling.

"Don't worry Bev i'll invite haystack over for you." Richie chuckled.

"WAIT WHAT?" Eddie exclaimed. "YOU LIKE BEN?"

Chapter 14-

"You're such an asshole!" Bev snapped, wrapping her arm around Richie and holding him in a headlock position. "You blabber mouth!"

"Okay okay you win this round!" Richie chuckled, under the mercy of Bev he gave Eddie his puppy dog eyes hoping the boy would come to his rescue. No such luck, there was no way Eddie would get in the middle of these two. "Ref can you end this match please!"

"Okay you two knock it off before one of you hurt yourselves!" Eddie protested, separating the two of them rolling his eyes in the process. "So you like Ben?"

"I don't know, but don't tell anyone okay?" Bev sighed, still glaring at Richie whilst he lifted his glasses up from his nose. "I'm still figuring things out."

"It's okay, but you know he like really likes you back." Eddie smiled, it was no secret that Ben was head over heels in love with Beverly and she knew it too.

"Likes? Ed's he would jump off a cliff for Miss Marsh over here." Richie laughed, causing Beverly to lunge over to him and place him in another headlock, scuffing up his hair in the process this time. "Sorry sorry!" Richie pleaded back, all three of them laughing and beginning to get into a wrestle, but they were soon cut off by the sound of Beverly's home phone.

"I'll go get it." Eddie said, as the other two were still fighting. "It won't be your dad right?"

"No, he never calls. It's probably one of the losers." Bev gasped, as Richie began throwing pillows at her face causing one of them to accidentally hit Eddie. Glaring back at Richie, Eddie stomped off towards the phone.

"Hello, Marsh house." Eddie uttered, still slightly concerned it may be Beverly's father and he would get the wrong idea.

"Hey, Eddie it's Stan."

"Oh hey Stan, you okay?"

"Yeah, just wanted to check in and tell you that i called your mother."

"Did..did it go okay?"

"Yeah, i just said you fell asleep before calling coz you were exhausted from all the work. It took some convincing, she wanted me to wake you up but i said you had a headache so i didn't want to wake you up."

"Gee thanks Stan, i owe you one."

"Yeah you do, your mum is nearly as scary as Pennywise!"

"Try living with her."

"Talking about owing me one...."

"Yeah..."

"Can you meet me after school tomorrow and come bird watching with me? I need to talk to you about something."

"Uhh, sure. Everything okay?"

"Yeah, okay night!"

"Night...."

(Back in Bev's room)

"Who was it Ed's?" Richie smiled, the two were exhausted from play-fighting and were now laying on the bed together smoking which only annoyed Eddie.

"Stan, he just wanted to tell me he called my mum and sorted things out." Eddie replied, walking over to Bev's window and opening it a jar to get some fresh air.
