Marion's POV

"Earth to Danae!" I snapped back to my senses when this guy, Tom, waved his hand in front of my face.

"What?" Sabi ko nang makabawi.

"'Yong customer doon, oh. Ako na muna sa front door," aniya at saka lumabas ng kusina.

Inayos ko naman ang pagkatali ng buhok ko. Ugh. I can't believe I got to learned how to tie a hair. As much as I hate to admit this, but I kinda gotten used to on her job. Though, what I don't like about it is that some customers treat us unfairly and they can be a bit bossy. I just have to bear with it because of the promised I made with Danae. At isa pa, I saw how she practiced and trained on our basketball game. Na kahit wala siyang gaanong alam sa laro, she still tried.

Then, slowly, another smile form on my lips. I just can't get the scene out of my head. The way she got shocked because of what I did, she really made my day.

"Good evening, Ma'am. What's your order?" I asked the lady.

She scanned the menu and it took her a minute before saying her order. "Soup. And make it quick," she said with authority.

Lihim naman akong napairap. "Shall I pour the wine, Ma'am?" Pour it on your head to be exact.

Sa hindi malaman na dahilan napalingon ako, I get this feeling that someone is watching me. I shrugged that off and started to pour the wine on her glass. After that, I went back to the kitchen for her meal to be make. I waited a few minutes before taking the soup.

"Dahan-dahan, ah, Danae? Mainit 'yan. Baka mamaya itapon na naman sa 'yo 'yan," one of the waitresses told me.

What does she mean?

As I served her food, I asked her for the last time if she needs anything and when she said none, tumalikod na lamang ako at ambang aalis nang bigla na lamang niya akong tawagin.

"Excuse me. What is this?" She said like she was disgust.

"Why is there a strand of hair on my soup?" Aniya na parang galit.

"Ma'am, we can definitely get you another soup, if that is what you want," I said in a calm tone.

"Kailangan naman talagang palitan ito dahil merong buhok–"

"And our chefs here are strictly to what they are wearing. And before serving the food to our customers, there is a strict inspection," paliwanag ko. "And based on what I saw, that strand of hair is yours, Ma'am," walang emosyon kong sinabi.

She has this black bob haircut that is really a match on the strand of hair on the soup. Well, it possibly can't be Danae's hair, considering the hair is black, while Danae's brown.

"Now, you're accusing me!" Galit niyang sinabi.

"I didn't said–"

"Don't you know that customers are always right?!"

"Is there a problem, Ma"am?" He asked.

"Make sure to keep your peasants know their place here,"  sagot niya.
