Meanwhile with Olivera, Nicholai, and Billy, they're out of the hospital, and are outside, standing in the back of an ambulance. Olivera is sitting down, trying to stop the bleeding of the bite that Yuri gave him. He looks at it as Nicholai and Billy keep a watch out.
Olivera: This bite, it won't stop bleeding.
Nicholai: Why didn't they see us?
Billy: What?
Nicholai: The chopper. We were right there in the street in front of the hospital. How could they not see us?
Olivera: They saw us.
Nicholai: (Looks at him) What do you mean?
Olivera: We're assets, Nicholai. Expendable assets. And we've just been expended. Along with this man, here. He's an expendable civilian.
Just then, they all hear ringing. They all turn and aim their guns. They see a cell phone ringing in front of a store. They all frown at this, and Billy walks to the phone.
Meanwhile, Jill is still driving through the city with the group, on their way to the school. Terri and Rain look at her as she drives. Terri then sees something in front.
Terri: Stop!
Jill stops the truck as three people stop in front of them. It's Karen, David, and L.J.
David: We're not zombies. (Looks at Jill) Jill!
Jill: David! Karen!
L.J.: (To Jill) Hey, remember? Look, we haven't been bitten or anything. Look.
L.J. moves around to show them. David and Karen show their arms and necks. They all see they're not bitten.
Jill: Climb aboard.
Karen: (Looks inside) There's only one seat left in the back. David and I will get in the back of the truck.
L.J. gets in the back as David and Karen climb in the back of the truck.
L.J.: (To everyone in the truck) Lloyd Jefferson Wade. You can call me L.J. on account of the informal situation.
Jill starts up the truck, and drives off. Richard opens up the back window. David and Karen sits against the window.
Richard: Good to see you two still alive.
David: Us too. Where's Peyton and Brad?
Richard just fell silent. Rebecca looks down in sadness. David and Karen notices this and realizes what it means.
David: Aw, shoot.
Jill: Why are you two still here in the city? You both should have got out when you had the chance.
Karen: We couldn't leave. Our men and people were still here.
Rebecca: Where's the Captain, and the others?
David: (Sighs) He's dead. They're all dead. Edward, Kevin, Kenneth, dead. All of them, including all the police forces. We're the last ones.
Richard: Dang it. Well, we need to get to the school, so we can get out of here.
Karen: What do you mean? You found a way out?
Rebecca: Yeah. There's a man name Dr. Ashford. He works for Umbrella. His two kids, Adam and Angela, they're both still alive, but trapped here as well. They're hiding out in her school. And he said we help him find them, he'll help us escape the city.
Terri: And we need to hurry. Umbrella is going to destroy the entire city to destroy the infection and all of the evidence with the city by sunrise this morning.
